Easy to use tool for personalized messaging
What do you like best about Customer.io?
I appreciate the ability to trigger messages in real time based on user behavior, making it easy to create highly targeted campaigns. I also love the flexible segmentation, allowing for precise audience targeting.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
While flexible, the pricing can get expensive as your contact list and message volume grow. It lacks a wide variety of pre-designed email templates, requiring more customization.

Dream product of a SaaS PM
What do you like best about Customer.io?
Customer.io helps us to track every event, click, pageview happening in our platform automatically and create dynamic segments based on the activities of the people. And the best part, we can integrate it with our Backend so that we don't miss any events to adblockers. Normally this would take a dedicated person to track and analyze and act on those metrics, now we just set it up and forget it!
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
I couldn't say I dislike, but a comprehensive product like this should have it's own event analytics features. We shouldn't have to send data to other analytics platforms, it's already there!
What problems is Customer.io solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking events of our users, creating dynamic segments based on users' activities and sending them personalized feedback and campaign notifications without hardcoding anything.

What do you like best about Customer.io?
I particularly like the balance between technical and nontechnical. It's designed to work well with both technical and nontechnical talents.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
Some features require some technical knowledge, and there isn't a lot of tutorials online about how to set those things up.

Great platform, unlocks so much for marketers
What do you like best about Customer.io?
There are endless features and possibilities, just one year with Customer IO, our CRM programme has completley expanded. They are also releasing new tools, and it's made the day to day so much quicker.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
Recommendations to others considering Customer.io?
We migrated from an API sending tool, and the implementation has been easy, as well as a ton of out of the box integrations like Typeform, Meta etc.
What problems is Customer.io solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes the tool can be a bit slow if you're running a really long journey. We don't have a dedicated CSM, however the support is great.

Terrific communications platform for growth experiments
What do you like best about Customer.io?
For someone building either a web application or a mobile app, Customer.io provides the broadest possible variety of channels for communicating with customers as they interact with your application. I feel that CIO offers a tremendous amount of visibility at every step of a new user's journey, from initial registration to becoming a frequent user to upgrading to premium tiers, and precise control of messaging so that emails, notifications, and nudges are delivered at precisely the moment they're needed.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
There was a time, when I was an early user of Customer.io, that I found its content creation tools to be lacking. That seems to have been fixed since I last used it. The sheer number of options available to the user can be overwhelming at first, so some members of my team were intimidated by it.
Recommendations to others considering Customer.io?
Customer.io is key to our efforts in three critical stages of the growth cycle: user activation, retention, and revenue realization.

Everything you need from an engagement platform, plus amazing support
What do you like best about Customer.io?
CIO has everything you need from and engagement platform, creating workflows is easy and intuitive, and new improvements are added all the time.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
But what I like about the most is their amazing support. When so many services lead you to a help center or some AI bot, it's amazing to get super fast response from a human, that always have a good answer.
Recommendations to others considering Customer.io?
Nothing major, I think the data on the main campaign screen can be more dynamic for you to analyse , but nothing apart from that comes to mind

Great UI, very intuitive CRM
What do you like best about Customer.io?
I really like the flexibility. We have around **350K** customers and a lot of campaigns **running**. The ability to spin up campaigns quickly has allowed us to move fast to address our needs. It's also incredibly powerful. The built-in features are great, but it's easy to connect to outside tools and scripting if needed. I **especially** like all the built-in A/B testing. The **administrative** visual reports allow me to quickly evaluate campaign/message effectiveness.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
I'd like to see some more powerful tools in the workflow builder. I'm not always able to branch in the ways that I'd like. Also, something as simple as assigning individual promo codes to a customer via messaging or a campaign often requires manual CSV importing or external scripting—I’d love to see a built-in feature for this.
What problems is Customer.io solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer.io is automating our marketing efforts in a way that allows integrated testing, so we're always improving our flows & messaging. We're getting better and more personal with out customers. We're able to understand what works within a given customer cohort, double down and repeat.

Personalization at it's best!
What do you like best about Customer.io?
You can do almost everything without having big coding skills just by using liquid and JSON. The possibility to use webhooks in a campaign opens up various of connection possibilities.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
It's quite complicated to consider all possibilities and make your ideas work the way you want it to.

Best tool for comms to end users
What do you like best about Customer.io?
We can do things from very basic and easy like workflows to send notifications base of Events & Segments, to advance workflows where it sends data to our API, to assign a certain promotion to some users.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
Pricing base on total users makes you think about when to remove users. I would prefer a pricing based on active users who has received a notification.
What problems is Customer.io solving and how is that benefiting you?
If you want to build everything in house, you will loose a lot time.

What do you like best about Customer.io?
All the features and communications available. Also has a lot of integrations that makes it a lot easier to connect to the Data Warehouse.
What do you dislike about Customer.io?
Sometimes it is a little slow and it would be nice to start to have some AI integrated, for example to duplicate emails in different languages and not having to translate every time. Or some translator intagrated in the creation of the emails/push/in-app, etc.
