- Short turn-around times when delivering projects.
- Built-in Digital Quality tool (DQM) tool allows you to check the quality of content and any accessibility issues and immediately flag any issues before publishing.
The platform can run slow at times and training can be limited but as as I know Crownpeak is working actively on that to improve the community platform.
The Crownpeak DXM solution is totally suitable for any organization looking for a modern cloud-based true-SaaS CMS solution to modernize their website and web operations on time and budget. The ease of use without requiring IT or developers, the ability to move quickly and make updates or push out campaigns with ease and top notch security are some of the differentiators of the tool.
We currently use Crownpeak DXM for some of our clients. For the clients that we provide web content management services via the Crownpeak DXM, they use the platform all across the whole organization also in different languages. The tool provides a seamless content management operations process; the workflow structure and content management process allows non-technical users to create state of the art customer experiences with limited teams. In-built DQM (Digital Quality Management) tool gives the marketing teams the ability to audit their content for accuracy and accessibility. The system has a decoupled deployment structure; as content authors we are able to create, manage and push content globally (in various languages) with less efforts and shorter turnaround times when it comes to delivering complex digital projects without any IT involvement.
Works seamlessly alongside Lingotek to help our customers automate their translation process
Nothing as of yet - I'm new to Lingotek so have yet to experience/hear of any dislikes!
I'm too new to Lingotek (8 weeks in) to have any personal experience as of yet!
Crownpeak is so easy to use, while at the same time allows us to present relevant content to your consumers. We reviewed SiteCore, Adobe, Acquia and Crownpeak is by far one of the best, most cost efficient platforms on the market.
Not much, support is quick to reply when we have issues.
Do your research, but can't go wrong with C:P
A better, contemporary DXM to help connect our marketers to external channels.
Our organization's website has been on the CrownPeak CMS for SIX years! That is an eternity in the online world and alone makes the case that CrownPeak is a great choice for any organization looking for a scalable, future-proof system that doesn't need to be rebuilt from scratch every couple of years. CrownPeak works tirelessly to make improvements that keep the system fast, secure, and reliable. Unlike many other applications, they don't confuse users with interface changes that are only for change's sake.
As a nonprofit cultural institution on the East Coast, we aren't a typical CrownPeak customer. Consequently, we haven't had the benefit of a community of similar users in our area, or at least our time zone. The community appears to be larger on the West Coast. That said, the prompt, competent, go-the-extra-mile support team always has always gotten us unstuck when necessary and given us peace of mind the rest of the time.
If you implement CrownPeak using a third-party vendor, consider hosting the site on CrownPeak to minimize the chances that you will want to make a costly site hosting move in the future. This may also expand the support options you have with CrownPeak.
Our web team comprises 1-3 people at any given time. As a cultural institution with vast amounts of images, videos, and articles to publish, that might not seem like enough. Thanks to CrownPeak's robust content management and talented support teams, we've been able to share the biggest possible portion of what we do with the whole world.
Crownpeak is the most reliable and one of the more stable CMS systems out there. The SAAS model is the way to go and CP is the solution to use
Need more third party connectors and morepre-built components in the library
Always on for our customers
Software as a service model, fast implementation, out-of-the-box integrations with best-in-class third-party solutions, excellent professional services support, ease of use for non-technical content managers and marketers.
Not as well-known in the marketplace as competitors.
Spend some time speaking with CrownPeak customers about their implementation and support experiences. Check out Gartner and Forester Research regarding this category of web experience management platform. Ensure your digital design agency works closely with CrownPeak or their development partner to ensure a smooth implementation.
Required an enterprise-class web experience management platform to replace on-premise, antiquated platform. Limited budget, resources and time to implement required a cloud-based offering that was quick to implement with a low total cost of ownership. The CrownPeak platform delivered on all fronts. Fast implementation and relatively easy integrations allowed us to focus on more on delivering a world-class user experience and less on information technology challenges which can dominate this type of effort.
I like the decoupled architecture of CMS which gave us the flexibility of hosting the website in house and still utilizing cloud for CMS. CMS is very intuitive as well as very flexible for building or integrating with complex applications. CrownPeak provides good amount of integrations/connectors. CrownPeak provided us with very knowledgeable staff for the initial implementation and it went very smoothly. The support team since then have been awesome with great response times.
I would like to see more starter templates out of box for blogs and websites similar to what is offered through CMS like WordPress, Drupal.
Our key goal was to enable our Marketing and Content Writers manage website content without IT involvement. We now have majority of content managed by non-IT staff.
IT side:
* Simplistic approach to the architecture and code framework
* In-built scalability and security
* A lot of sample code for ease of development
* Decent community, documentation site
* Relatively less IT overhead (hardware, software and resources) compared to other systems
Marketing/Business side:
* Once implemented properly, the authoring experience is very simple and easy to use
* Highly configurable workflows (author editorial review process)
* Integrated analytics
Connectors:
* While there are 50+ connectors, we would need more and more as newer products surrounding the core CMS keeps increasing
Digital Marketing:
* Need stronger Digital marketing tools, features added/ refined
If you are considering migrating to a new CMS, think of the following factors.
- Want a lower IT overhead
- Want a lower TCO
- Be on the cloud
- Have a simpler site in terms of content, templates
then, go for Crownpeak.
Caution: If you have a lot of other systems in-house that needs to be integrated to Crownpeak, you will need additional considerations (firewall, ports, access, content sharing, delivery methodology etc). Strongly suggest that you have separate conversations with Crownpeak Tech team before starting the migration work.
I am typically involved in Digital transformation effort for all our clients. This includes CMS evaluation, UX design, CMS implementation etc. Using Crownpeak, we have done several CMS migration projects along with Strategy, design work too. We have seen our clients reap big benefits with great end user experience, scalability and performance on the website. Along with it, the analytics implementation and integration with 3rd party tools helped the client see their KPI metrics and in general how they are performing.
What I like most about CrownPeak is that they are constantly evolving the platform. Having worked with them on and off for a few years now, each time I come back to it I see more features that I like. I see features that I talked to them about! They have a roadmap of features they are moving forward with and as customer demand calls for certain features, they find a way to incorporate it into their current plan and not only do they execute it, they seem to make it even better than what was imagined and better than other products available.
Working in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare space primarily, it has been a challenge getting clients to buy into a SaaS solution. As we're progressing, they are getting over that fear and becoming more receptive and even excited to work with a SaaS platform.
If you're on the fence, get them to come to you and do a demo of the platform (I know they're always willing to get someone on site regardless of where you are!) Talking about it is great! But have them get in there and show it. Every time I have experienced a member of the CrownPeak team show off the platform, the conversation takes on a life of its own and people can't seem to get enough of it.
The biggest business problem I am constantly looking to solve is how can we can we be nimble with our content and web properties. CrownPeak allows you to write content that can spread across all mediums and you can get it out there quickly!

Extremely flexible, both 'off the shelf' and as a 'headless' tool. Great interoperability with a wide range of 3rd party tools across CRM, PIM, DAM.
Some work required to get the absolute best from the tool for individual client bespoke implementations - although lower subscription costs compared to other tools balance this out.
Consider total annual cost of ownership when comparing tools. Crownpeak SaaS model is a true SaaS model and we have found no hidden costs/ requirement for our developers to spend time on rollout of system upgrades.
Also consider the strength of the relationship between Software vendor and implementing agency. A close working relationship in this area has allowed our devs to innovate some bespoke implementations to the benefit of our clients and the DXM tool. This kind of collaborative partnership is really useful to drive best practice, efficiency and the best possible result for the end user.
Crownpeak DXM is a true SaaS model, which means no hidden dev costs for system upgrades. This transparency of annual tech costs allows us to better plan, and have more budget available for, digital & content marketing, rather than eating up budget with developer time on the rollout of technology version upgrades.
Best of breed integrations with CRM & DAM tools means we can implement DXM for a new client and easily integrate with existing digital marketing tools without big investment in developer time/ cost.
Customer data compliance built-in for Europe and US - means peace of mind.
Serverless hosting - means big increases in load speed & associated positive effect on Search rank and user experience, and no cost overhead for Content Distribution Networks in different geographical regions.
