User Friendly Interface, Extensive Integrations, Excellent Customer Support, Efficient Translation Management
Occasional Bugs, Complex Navigation, Inaccurate Machine Translation, Limited Free Plan Features
CrowdIn is a popular platform for managing translations, particularly for software localization. Users frequently praise its ease of use, robust integrations with tools like GitHub, and excellent customer support. The platform's translation memory and glossary features are highly valued for ensuring consistency. However, some users express concerns about the complexity of managing branches and a lack of granular API access. While the free version is generous, the pricing for private projects and advanced features can be a barrier for smaller businesses.

Since we integrated Crowdin into our build flow, translating the client-facing site has been a doddle. We can add more languages as we go; quickly amend individual phrases should the need arise and the pricing has scaled fairly as we've grown.
Nothing springs to mind. We really enjoy using Crowdin.
We want to provide our end users with the ability to translate the platform into other languages as we're a global company.
Using Crowd-in's computer-assisted translation makes it so easy.
Code Editors are great, but the way Crowdin created the tool to easily translate strings and long text, plus built-in translator that helps, especially with previously translated projects, is just pure art. I love it!
I would think, maybe the pricing could be a bit lower or offer the free version with better benefits. Beside of that, the only thing I could say is, maybe a new design? :P
Pretty much handy when it comes to track my progress and continue work where I left off, without any trouble. Plus its easy to work together, no need to git push, etc.
Their support is incredibly responsive. Whenever I required their assistance, I got a first reply within 5 minutes and my problem was solved immediatly. Their architecture and integrations make it easy to adapt exiting or new projects. Collaboration is also key. I like the fact that they provide expert translators for a fee or that you can invite your own.
The UI is not very intuitive sometimes and you do need to click here and there until you find what you are looking for.
It serves as a one-stop solution for my i18n management. It helps me keeping all our translations in sync and aligned. It facilitates non-technical people contributing into our projects as translators.
Our company is a small software house that utilizes Crowding to effectively manage translations on our React project. The seamless integration with GitHub simplifies the process and ensures a worry-free experience. Although the software is extensive, it is user-friendly and easy to grasp. Initially, we utilize the free tier for starting projects and then upgrade to the professional pricing as the projects gain momentum. One feature that stands out to us is the role attribution, which allows us to limit access for different user roles such as managers, developers, translators, and proof-readers. This enables us to share a link with our clients, empowering them to handle specific business translations. This not only streamlines communication but also minimizes unnecessary back-and-forth exchanges with the client.
We are using this service quite often especially on projects that are past the MVP phase and start getting an active user base to upgrade the translations base on user feedback.
Really important to note that their customer support is maybe one of the most reactive I've ever experienced (less than a minute to answer and constructive help provided under 15 mins.
Sometimes the amount of feature can be a bit overwehlming. But overall no big drawbacks.
No need to interact with the codebase to handle the translations. Add automatic quality Machine translations. Reduce the interactions with the clients when it come to translations.
Itegration with our Gitlab pipeline has been seamless over a couple of years, with no maintainance required. It has been pretty easy to work with and add translation terms. The integrated translation machines are a pretty decent and helpful resource too. Helpdesk and Support have been excellent.
Nothing I disliked. Everything worked as promised.
Seamless integration of new translations as terms are being added to our software. The intergated translation machines save us the trouble of having to go to external services for small tasks. Adds efficiency and reduces costs.
Crowdin places very well compared to some other web-based translation editors, and does have a great technical support team - answers are quick, to the point, and helpful. From an individual translator’s perspective it has good collaborative features – especially context info and commenting options are very well done even compared to the leading CATs on the market. It has an easy setup process, it’s user-friendly, has a good UI and does have the basic linguistic options such as concordance search and a built-in QA module.
From a project manager's perpspective, quality process as well as workflow, task assignments and finance management need a more robust technology which Crowdin doesn’t provide. Crowdin TM and glossary management options are scarce; there is no batch features, segments can only be edited one by one and the search is also quite limited.
great for continuous loc work
In my weekly use of Crowdin, I've come to appreciate its standout feature—the user-friendly interface that simplifies the management and collaboration on translation projects. This has become especially valuable in my routine, enhancing efficiency in the translation process through its robust collaborative tools and ultimately boosting my productivity.
In my experience, I've found that Crowdin may have a bit of a learning curve for beginners due to occasional interface complexities. For those unfamiliar with translation project management tools, it could pose a challenge.
Localization of application for world-wide use.

In the past, we managed extensive strings using Google Sheets. Now, through Crowdin, we can efficiently organize and manage these strings. Additionally, various roles within the project, including PMs, engineers, and translators, can easily collaborate and work within the platform. Furthermore, due to the excellent support from Crowdin and Figma, we can effectively address the challenges related to multilingual content across various screens!
Both the product and the customer support team are superb.
Absolutely nothing to dislike about. My experience with Crowdin has been great.
Mobile app translation can be a project nightmare with a bad translation management system.
Crowdin has proven to have all the features we badly needed, and the system is so easy to use.
The support team is always very helpful.
