PROS: ContactWorks is a very intuitive solution that can transform any challenging, tedious file management task into something that is fast, efficient, and reliable. Another great capability is to embed notifications within tags.
CONS: I wish the system would allow me to take bulk action on huge volumes of documents. Currently, I have to treat documents individually and that can be a time intensive process.
PROS: What's the most impressive to me is that ContactWorks can create reports that include critical details such as which documents or contracts are nearing expiry dates and enable users to set email notifications before a document's expiration.
CONS: I have no qualms about the product. Whenever we submit suggestions for features, they always take the time to look at it and then implement some elements of our suggestions. It's hard to dislike a constantly improving product.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
ContactWorks is a sophisticated, intuitive product that greatly simplifies the way we manage out documents. We were looking for a product with which we can create defined database to keep track of documents with varying validity periods (eg Tax - W8s, Legal - LPAs, Compliance - KYC docs etc). ContactWorks simply delivers what we need and more.

Easy to Navigate, drag and drop, and stellar Help Resources.
Limited Auto-Tagging capabilities, so some manual tagging is required
Increased visibility to enterprise contracts with centralized repository and folder structure. Increased visibility on milestones for contract dates and compliance milestones.
Reports give a fuller picture of contract portfolio.
The filters is a wonderful tool for easy search between the team. Also, the reminders for agreement's expiration dates is great to work ahead of time on renewals, etc.
Will be great to have more than one room in the same account (without to pay additional annual fee for an extra room) in order to maintain certain privacy for affiliated companies or different divisions under the same head quarter umbrella. Our company manage to create different folder for divisions with restrictions depending the case.
Easy to use and also to train others in the team. You don't need to be a technological person to understand how to use it.
Since our company have offices in different regions, the easy way to search agreements, to upload renewals and licenses works extremely well for the team. Also, we have a "big file cabinet" online that we all have access from anywhere.
I like the simplicity with which you can start using the program. Just drop and drag your existing contracts into the program and you're already on your way.
There are not any big downsides that I can think of.
The biggest problems that ContractWorks solves for our company are organization and searchability.
ContractWorks has allowed us to organize and centralize all of our contracts (>3,000). The automated feature to remind of upcoming termination dates has allowed time to negotiate more favorable lease rates for space leases - and helped avoid professional license expirations. The various permission levels has allowed administration to determine access levels appropriate with position in company / need to review contracts.
Certain sections, such as sending notifications, could have auto fill-in when starting a previously used name.
Easy to set up, store and track/report on numerous contracts - under self-defined groupings (folders). Reminders/notifications of upcoming term dates or other dates of significance easy to establish.
Centralized storage of all contracts, various permission levels to access contracts, and notifications of upcoming terminations.
This a simple, intuitive program that has proven itself extremely valuable. Makes the process of storing, retrieving and most importantly managing contracts and their ancillary documents easy and effective.
Features are well thought out, not just added for the sake of it. Signature process is easy, powerful, time saving. Reminders on contracts renewals and expiration's are exactly what everybody needs, without exception.
Upon completion of the signature process, the PDF's are distributed to all signatories automatically, which is excellent. The minor thing I don't like is the little advertising blurb CW adds to it. I would like it to be customizable and tailored to the client.
Ensure that you get C-level support to acquire the initial batch of documents. Expand user base and set up reminders at the beginning, people will follow.
What is the benefit of knowing your agreements are safely stored and accessible yet secure? What is the return on having the ability to manage your fees timely instead of having a contract auto renew? What is the advantage of not having supplier agreement auto renew missing the window to cancel?
For all these questions, the answer is that CW delivers.

Product is easy to use - and implementation team is outstanding
perhaps the only thing is the clunkiness of working with pdf's
virtual storage of contracts, creation and redlining of contracts, allowing for esignature of contracts
