"Experience as a Writer and as a Client"
What do you like best about Contently?

Its roaster of freelancers is very competitive. The onboarding process and the portfolios Contently present for you to choose from, making the selection process simple and transparent. Good customer experience. As a writer, the experience was enjoyable and I got to work with great brands.

What do you dislike about Contently?

I like the platform and haven't encountered any problems.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main benefit of Contently, in my opinion, is that it excels at vetting talent. Freelance writing, in my experience, encompasses a widely diverse range of talent and professionalism, so you can waste time trying to find the right fit for your brand. As a writer, it's the same. Many clients don't value writing as a craft, so they want bargains and end up being difficult clients. Clients who go through Contently are willing to pay more, respect the craft of writing, and are easier and more rewarding clients to work with.

"Contently, a good platform for content creation"
What do you like best about Contently?

Contently is a handy tool for collaborating on any content-creation project. I found it user-friendly, easily adaptable to corporate requirements, and SEO-friendly.

What do you dislike about Contently?

It would be even more helpful for businesses if Contently could be more open to links with other platforms. My company had to take part of the projects to another tool because we couldn't track the spending (budgets).

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Contently helps us collaborate with freelance writers and other external agencies for our projects. Because it is very user-friendly and easy to use, it saves me a lot of time and back-and-forth.

"Year 2 is starting the marathon"
What do you like best about Contently?

The account team is exceptional. They focused on our key needs and brought in a managing editor that has built a stable of writer and producers we love. Our patients are spending an average of 2 minutes and 30 seconds on pieces and some of our highest performing pieces have generated close to five minute read times. We're spinning up a second publication this year and we couldn't be more excited.

What do you dislike about Contently?

It took us a while to get up and running but honestly that was more on myself and our team and not the Contently team. They were ready to support us from day one. It was a big lift and change for us but the payoff has been immense.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed to create expert content for healthcare that stood out from an average blog. We had been using a single agency that used rotating writers with no luck. By having a managing editor and a group of writers, we're publishing better articles of higher quality that are engaging our patients and prospects very well.

"Outstanding writers"
What do you like best about Contently?

Out of the gate, Contently found us smart, committed writers who've learned our business and always deliver. That, in itself, would be great. But beyond the content talent, we also have a strategist and utilize Docalytics.

What do you dislike about Contently?

Sometimes the "tech" doesn't deliver (e.g. clean analytics) without a LOT of help from support. Thankfully, support is great.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Content marketing is a discipline that morphs at lightspeed. They keep up, do solid research and help us think about what we *should* be doing.

"Time Your Follow-Up Calls, Perfectly"
What do you like best about Contently?

Unlike the unreliability of email tracking, I know exactly when a recipient of a marketing piece or a quote has opened it up and looked at it. Email opens aren't a good indicator of whether or not someone has taken the time to read an email. With docalytics, I know exactly when someone has looked at my document, how long they've looked at it, if they opened it on a desktop or a mobile device, where they were when they opened it, and what parts of the document caught their attention the most (through heat mapping). Since I get an immediate notice that they've been looking at a marketing paper or a quote I've sent them, I can time my follow-up call while the iron is still hot.

What do you dislike about Contently?

It can get a bit confusing how to arrive at the right analytics. I sometimes find myself clicking on links I thought would deliver one type of analysis, only to find it provided another. So, they still need to refine the intuitiveness of the system.

Recommendations to others considering Contently:

One, they deliver. Two, they're great to work with, and very responsive to support issues. Three, they sincerely listen to suggestions on how to make their product better, and have even implemented some that served our needs better.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Accurate delivery of open data for marketing materials and RFP responses.

"Contently makes my content world go round"
What do you like best about Contently?

I love contently — not just the platform but the people behind the tech. With Contently I can streamline workflows but also lean on their experts to unlock new innovative strategies that help improve my content and audience engagement.

What do you dislike about Contently?

On occasion, there might be a minor bug here or there. Sometimes managing the calendar and updating publishing dates can be a bit cumbersome.

Recommendations to others considering Contently:

You get out of it, what you put into it. Take advantage of everything you Contently has to offer, and you and your content will be better for it.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Contently is helping me to improve our SEO approach to our content strategy. They've given me great ideas to drive distribution and engagement with our content. We've recently launched new approaches that are improving our engagement and bounce rates.

"Professional staff; high-quality content"
What do you like best about Contently?

Contently functions like an extension of our content team. Their team is always available for questions, willing to collaborate on new ideas and they execute and deliver top-quality work.

What do you dislike about Contently?

We've been very happy with the relationship!

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Contently and their team of writers allow us to speed up the production of our content. Instead of relying only on internal writers, we're able to cover more ground and topics by sharing the work with their team.

"Contently helps us tell some of the most important security stories"
What do you like best about Contently?

We love the calendar view. There are days when we have to publish 1-2 blogs. The Contently UI offers an easy to digest view that keeps us organized.

What do you dislike about Contently?

Contently has helped us scale our blog in amazing ways. The biggest feedback we receive is from collaborators on other teams who want the ability to edit in real-time. They're used to that functionality from Google Docs and in a fast-paced org, it helps keep work flowing.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Contently has solved scheduling and blog prioritization for us in a big way. We can easily review blog volume by topic/focus area. Contently analytics and QBRs also help us see how we benchmark up against other Contently users - our wider team loves these insights.

"Great platform and services solution for augmenting footprint"
What do you like best about Contently?

It's a smooth experience working with their people and platform. I was able to augment our efforts with their services while only dedicating a minimal amount of time to oversight

What do you dislike about Contently?

No complaints! Over time it might make sense to bring the function of their services in-house which was my case as the company grew. It's better than other solutions on the market and they're easy to work with, just make sure it works for your needs.

What problems is Contently solving and how is that benefiting you?

Augment footprint and efforts through outsourced agency-type help with growth aspects of business need. As a marketer, their value proposition is needed and straightforward. In practice, other solutions don't have the quality like Contently does.
