Robust Automation Capabilities, Extensive Third-Party Integrations, Powerful Scripting Engine, Comprehensive Remote Management
Steep Learning Curve, Occasional Software Bugs, Slow Support Response Times, Outdated User Interface
User reviews of ConnectWise Automate highlight its powerful automation capabilities, particularly for remote management, patching, and scripting. While users appreciate its robust features and integration with other ConnectWise products, they often cite a steep learning curve and complex setup as major drawbacks. A common complaint centers around support, which is perceived as slow and inadequate, with users needing to rely heavily on documentation and third-party assistance. Overall, ConnectWise Automate is considered a valuable tool for MSPs, but its success hinges on a dedicated team and a willingness to invest time in mastering its intricacies.

Automate makes connecting with my users fast and easy. We use it daily to connect with end users to provide troubleshooting support. We also have several scheduled scripts that run across all of our workstations to keep products up to date and improve the quality of life for both our users and our IT staff.
The desktop admin client is cumbersome. It takes a significant amount of time to load the application and you must refresh your session every 24 hours. The 24 hour time-out wouldn't be an issue if it didn't close the application when the session expired but rather let you just re-authenticate.
We have 20 different office locations spread across the United States with a small IT staff that is not present at each office. Automate allows us to provide support similar to what we could give if we were physically present in each office.
The software really allows the business to implement a huge range of customizations and business processes. If you're willing to put the time in the software can be fantastic
The first level support for Connectwise Automate is poor. For software designed for MSPs they certainly start out assuming you know nothing about computers.
The software UI is also very clunky and new features are pretty lacking at this point.
Remote monitoring and management of a wide variety of Windows workstations and servers.
ConnectWise's remote access software is a great addition to any IT department. The portal is very user friendly and allows complete control and detailed information on the machine being worked on.
I do not have a negative thing that I can think of about the ConnectWise software. It is very versatile and allows you to manage the device off of one screen instead of needing to transition.
ConnectWise is allowing our IT department to easily manage and configure devices from a remote location instead of needing to have them in hand. This allows for the warehouse and sales team to not have to physically see IT in person.
Connectwise is a good system to connect all you device on one place.
The add in and having to script your own scripes
Everything is in one app
ConnectWise Automate is perfect along side ConnectWise Manage. Automate takes the stress out of remote support and scheduled maintenance. Remote access and endpoint management is made easy.
ConnectWise Automate doesn't necessarily have downsides. You need to be familiar with the tool to use it. For remote access, I prefer to use ConnectWise Control.
ConnectWise Automate continues to work on their notifications sent to ConnectWise Manage. You can customize how and when you want to see alerts. Maintenance mode has been super beneficial.
PROS: Connectwise boasts of multiple functions that are extremely useful to the current needs of IT businesses, from running scripts to automation.
CONS: The interface gives the vibe that it is outdated but that's of course not a major issue.
PROS: With ConnectWise, we were able to proactively detect issues. Early detection helped us act on them before they can cause problems.
CONS: Hope it allowed us to search for our fastest running computers.
Automate is a great tool to showcase and hold all of your environments that then dictate down from the Salo affect into a granular level with lots of information in tasks that are allowed to be run
The mobile app could be better to allow work done while in between jobsites outside of that it is a great product and look forward to using it more
Having to go on site to fix issues with an E and user Kanell be done remotely which saves time and money and allows for the business to make more money
PROS: ConnectWise brings order in the work process as it segregates computers into groups. Another great thing about it is you can view all the computers without having to engage with your client's. This saves team members with an integrated search approach, in turn, enhancing the team's productivity as they can work on other tasks.
CONS: Some users cannot use the agent as they would encounter bugs once they attempt installing it. In addition, it has shut down on us twice this year, with each running for a couple of days.
