"all in one package which has been in development for over a decade"
What do you like best about Concrete CMS?

Ease of use for content creators. It is an excellent framework for creating almost any website/application for developers. You can tell that the developers have a clear vision for their CMS, and while they did adapt to a changing internet, they stuck to their original vision when creating their CMS.

What do you dislike about Concrete CMS?

Documentation is sometimes vague, and when you run into an issue, you feel at a loss; the dev team is very active on their forum and Github, which makes it possible to ask questions almost directly. Not perfect, but it does seem like they are actively trying to fix this

What problems is Concrete CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing large organization websites and versioning pages so quality is guaranteed. give access to the users and give them the chance to edit their own partition of the website.

Customizable, scalable content management system
PROS: This tool helps in producing almost any application you need because of its ease of use and scalability, thus you don’t need to dwell on making basic-looking webpages. Codes are easy to understand and read on Concrete5 as well. Therefore, it keeps you away from the common problem of getting confused amid long strings of codes. It also has cool CMS features such as calendar, as well as lets you have full control over user accounts, role assignments and authorization. Moreover, you can select from plenty of available plugins to use with the CMS; although, most of them demand enough technical knowledge to integrate.

Fantastic tool for content management
PROS: Concrete5 helps us develop websites with great ease. We can make sites that are easy to use and maintain for our clients who have no web development expertise. It doesn’t give us difficulties when training new staff in using the platform. Such newbies immediately learn to use the Concrete5 without close assistance afterward. In addition, we appreciate the available templates and themes that make building a site easier. We do not need to start from zero anymore.

Superb and multifunctional
PROS: Prepping up the platform is super easy, and it boasts a seamless UI that is smooth to use for PHP professionals, front end developers, site editors, etc. It also has a good selection of plugins that have passed through the standards of Concrete5 developers. Meaning, you do not need to worry about conflicting codes while using them. Also, the platform came from the bootstrap framework, so it is easy to make a bootstrap website compatible with Concrete5. Moreover, the Concrete5 community has great and approachable expert developers who always help me deal with complicated PHP codes. As a result, I’ve been churning out dozens of sites with the use of this tool, even if I do not have enough PHP knowledge for my front end job.

"Flexible easy to build CMS for developers"
What do you like best?

The CMS is very easy to extend. You can build whatever type of application you want inside of this CMS. It's designed to give you so much more than simple brochure websites. The code is easy to read when you start delving into the core and you won't get lost in a puddle of mud like some other well known CMS platforms. There are a variety of after market plugins available however you will need to be tech-savvy enough to integrate them into your website 90% of the time. There is fine grain controls on permissions, users, roles and a lot of the built in CMS features such as the calendar are great.

What do you dislike?

The platform is not suitable for small projects. The learning curve can be quite steep and there is a lot of boiler plate to set up when creating a new project. There is not much availability for themes if you were to compare this to something like wordpress. This is a CMS for DEVELOPERS who want to build custom websites and apps, it does not work well for quick/small projects that require a small custom website.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're looking for a platform that can build a rich admin interface for complicated applications then this is what you need. If you're looking for a quick and easy CMS to get a brochure website up and running go use wordpress.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Being able to provide a rich interactive WYSIWYG interface for our clients when editing their content is fantastic.
