Ease of Use, Wide Range of Supported Languages, Real-time Collaboration, Comprehensive Interview Playback Feature
Limited Integration with Hiring Platforms, Occasional Bugs and Glitches, Lack of Advanced IDE Features (e.g., Debugger, Autocomplete), Limited Question Bank for Specific Interview Types
Overall, users appreciate CoderPad's clean and user-friendly interface, which makes it easy to navigate and conduct coding interviews efficiently. The platform's real-time collaboration features, such as screen sharing and synchronized cursors, are highly valued for their effectiveness in simulating in-person interviews. Additionally, CoderPad's comprehensive reporting and analytics capabilities are praised for providing valuable insights into candidate performance, aiding in the decision-making process.

nice for take way assignments and online interviewws
It's easy to use and has a huge range of supported languages. Evaluating the skills of new developers has never been easier.
I think the addition of templates would be a nice improvement to save time and effort when setting up a new session.
In a world where many developers prefer to work remotely it's been a game changer for interviewing and replicating many aspects of a traditional in-person technical interview.
Coderpad is a simple to use and good value for technical interview accessments. Implementation is easy and its simple to scale.
I don't have any specific isssues or dislikes with CoderPad.
We use coderpad as a live coding enviorment for our technical interviews with software engineer.
The ability to compile and run the code, run tests and share the link with the candidates.
It would be great to have a simple syntax code completion.
CoderPad helps me share a coding challenge with candidates and let them solve it. It is amazing in a way that I can see candidate's progress and also their cursor selections.
It's incredibly easy to use. The app is streamlined to get you quickly into an interview, with powerful features to create templates for specific interview questions, or to playback all the keystrokes during the interview. I have used it for years across multiple jobs on hundreds of interviews. It seems like an industry standard at this point for coding interviews. I even use it for system design interviews using markdown and the drawing tool.
Not much, just minor gripes: The drawing tool doesn't "snap" - or if it does, it's not obvious how to make it replace the code-output frame. It can be easy to forget to name your pads.
Coding interviews for all technical hires.
This way we can create testing exams for knowledge check of possible hires for our jobs vacancies. exams and check knowledge.
There is no interaction between the hiring personnel and the candidate. it is just like a straightforward process and sometimes we lost good candidates due to these tests because they didn't take them seriously and answered quickly.
Due to the lack of time and the pandemic and people had to work from home we were obliged to turn to a cloud-based solution to check possible recruits knowledge for work from home jobs
It's easy to use - literally with no learning curve at all, users can jump in and start leading interviews, or participate in an interview.
Since Microsoft T- SQL is the most common SQL language used, it would be great if coder pad offered a T-SQL coder pad, but we manage most of the time with the MySQL pad.
We have found that testing hard skills is much more fruitful in interviews than just asking situational questions and coderpad allows us to do this.
Reliability and intuitive UI. The playback feature is awesome.
The comment section in the initial screen is too much. We had to take the time to comment it out.
See the progress of the interviewee and also write and share in the same screen with the interviewee.
It's straightforward to use. I've used it for hundreds of interviews, and there are usually no issues even with candidates who have never used CoderPad for the first time. Autocomplete works great too.
- The real-time code checker is buggy sometimes, but it usually works great.
- Switching between different programming languages sometimes feels a bit glitchy, but this is rarely used, so it's not a big deal.
I've been using it for technical coding interviews with hundreds of candidates. It's quick to start a new coding pad, which generates a unique link that can be sent to a candidate immediately. It's also easy to see if our team reaches the monthly quota for the number of pads given our pricing plan.

I've used coderpad to conduct nearly 100 interviews this year, and I am very impressed with it as a product.
Starting with team features, coderpad lets us build a bank of questions that we share across our interview teams. It makes it very easy to start a new interview, invite a candidate, and get them set up with their preferred programming language.
I have not used the video call feature (we usually use google meets), but for a real-time collaborative editor, coderpad is very reliable. It's always a bit of a bummer being outside your preferred editor environment, but good IDE-style programming language support gives candidates enough support that they're generally very comfortable. The editor/repl environment is intuitive enough that I don't usually need to explain how to use it. I also appreciate the features like private notes that make it easy to stay in the coderpad environment for the entirety of the interview without switching tools multiple times.
I would appreciate closer integration with our hiring platform, Lever, but that's a big ask :)
It's difficult to run technical screens, so having a shared library of questions, and a consistent interview environment that allows candidates to showcase their best work is very important. It benefits me by staying out of the way and allowing me to complete technical screens with low friction and high candidate satisfaction.
