ClassDojo is a popular platform for classroom management and communication, lauded for its user-friendly interface and engagement tools. Teachers praise its ability to quickly communicate with parents and reward student behavior, especially in younger grades. However, concerns exist about the gamified point system potentially prioritizing rewards over intrinsic motivation. Some users find the platform lacks features for older students and express frustration with technical glitches and limited customization options. While ClassDojo excels at communication and basic behavior tracking, its effectiveness as a comprehensive classroom management tool is debated.

ClassDojo is a very powerfull classroom management platform that allows teachers, students and parents to communicate, share information and track progress in a very easy and attractive interface. Its very easy to integrate with Google Classroom.
I have no complaints about classdojo features or any other aspect
Communucation with parents improves and helps to avoid the use of instant messagin tools and saturation of emails
I love many things about Class Dojo, but what I like best is the customizability it offers to those on all levels of its platform, whether you're the teacher, child, or guardian. Everyone is able to custom fit their experience to what they seek to get out of it.
It is truly difficult to think of any negative feedback for the platform. I would like to see more monsters added, but only because I think they're adorable and the minds behind Class Dojo have spectacular creativity!
It allows me to connect with students, allowing them to self regulate behavior based on fair and accurate reporting on their performance from me, their teacher. It simultaneously allows me to connect with families and allow them to witness this data, as well as message me, see students achievements and class stories, etc.
I love that I can message my daughters teacher any time dirtying the school day and get a response.
The pay to use feature. It should all be accessible if schools are using it.
Quick con I with teachers during school day.
ClassDojo is most helpful for communication with parents! It is like a Facebook for the classroom. I can post messages and pictures for everyone to see or send individual parent messages. The other tools on ClassDojo are also quite helpful. I use the group maker often because the students can see that the groups are "fair" due to their being chosen randomly. The points tracker is a fantastic behavior management tool. We do not use it as much in 5th grade, but when I taught 1st grade, the students worked hard to receive points. There is also an option to take away points. However, I do not use that feature. Lastly, parents can access a behavior report based on the issues you give and take away.
One thing I do not like about ClassDojo is that parents can not post on the main feed. It would be beneficial if I could give my room parents privileges to post information about parties and events because they do a lot of planning and organizing for me.
ClassDojo solves the problem of quickly communicating with parents and guardians. Because they can download the app, it essentially works like texting. This is beneficial because I can get ahold of parents or guardians quicker than a phone call. This also allows me to keep all communication in one place, which is great if I need to refer to a specific conversation.
