What I like the best is the way Charm was created for integrative doctors. It houses everything in an orderly and convienient fashion. Usually it takes no more than 3 clicks and you’re where you need to be.
So far, I have no dislikes. My office is newly migrating over and the upload and training process has been great.
We are solving the issue of patients not being involved in their care and also giving them more responsibility and accountability for logging on and taking care of what they need.
From A to Z, it's literally one of the best EHR's out there. Not only is it very low cost, and free until you have a certain amount of patients, it is easy to use, extremely versatile, and can be personalized quickly and efficiently to meet your needs, whether it's in a small private practice or a larger, hospital setting. What's also really nice is that because the EHR is completely online, it can be accessed from anywhere in the world, and you can sync your other devices with it (such as phone, smartwatch, etc) and you will get notifications for new appointments, cancellations, etc. The patient portal is also a fantastic feature for patients-they report that it's easy to use, and all their labs, instructions, etc is easily accessible. Charm is a life-saver of an EHR!
The only thing I don't necessarily like is that two people cannot access the same patient's chart at once, otherwise the information you type in will not save. Even though it's something I don't like, I value this about Charm because this feature makes it HIPPA compliant. I really have no other complaints about Charm!
Absolutely recommend using Charm, and you won't regret it. If you have used other EHRs, you will be able to quickly compare how user friendly and customizable Charm is. You will also appreciate the ability to access it from anywhere. I think the quality of care is naturally higher because you are not frustrated with the charting process and you can also communicate well with the patient through the portal.
As a student clinician, I use Charm on a day to day basis for patient charting. The benefits are many, echoing what I have already mentioned above:
-user friendly
-highly personalizable
-affordable, for both large and small practices
-accessible from anywhere around the world essentially
-easy to use for patients as well
I have used other EHRs as a student clinician, and the above features I listed are truly unique to Charm. I face the problem of information not saving, the system logging me out, and the program just not being user friendly at all when using other EHRs. Moreover, in my experience, you cannot personalize other EHRs as easily as you can with Charm...some you cannot personalize at all. That creates more work for the student clinicians and impacts the quality of patient care. I have noticed a huge difference in better patient care and delivery of their needs because of Charm.
All of your resources can be found in one place.
While it's very convenient, adoption rates seem to be low compared to other industry software like Epic's MyChart
ChARM helps me communicate easily with my doctor, view my health history, and book telemedicine appointments.
I think this is easy to use and also can be better improved with filtering so you have more options to filter from. We see so many patients and there are some you don't need to sent a link to.
that it sends reviews to customers that have been rescheduled .would like to be able to customize this my way. this now will send out invites to people multipule times within a week so that is not good
maybe something you can start is something to be able to sell packages, also to be able to copy a scheduled appointment to be able to make another identical
to make our office and customer service better. to improve our end goal which is to make every experience the best. We want to make sure that not just are the patients being taken care of but the business side also
I like that we were able to have both client and clinician portals. It was a one stop shop for us to store client information, write client encounter notes, and communicate via messaging.
We had a super serious breach of confidentiality that was Charm's fault. The only way to download notes is to sign them. When they are signed, certain parts of the note are supposed to be visible to clients while other parts aren't. Charm had a glitch where it sent the ENTIRE note to clients and caused a lot of issues on our end. I don't like that notes get shared when signed or the fact that we have to sign the notes to download them. I'm also not a fan of how they do billing. You're not able to add DX codes to the superbills themselves without going back into every note to add the codes. It's incredibly time-consuming.
It allows us to have one platform for scheduling, note-taking, messaging, storing client information, and billing.
flexible configuration, tasks, patient portal, free trial, messaging, calendar
When I wanted to switch to the full-feature version, no one would contact me to perform the upgrade. I contacted them several times and received several promises that a member of the sales team would contact me. I also did not like the note template. It is based on the SOAP model, which was sufficient for a psychiatric practice, but not optimal. I would have preferred if CharmHealth provided the option of adding custom sections to the SOAP note template. When I asked how I could incorporate insurance-related requirements into the note, support responded with an answer that clearly indicated they did not read the requirements.
Since I couldn't get sales to contact me, I assumed that support would be equally unresponsive. I decided not to complete the transition from my old system to CharmHealth.
