Certain contains versatile, logic-based functionality that allows you to customize the event experience & communication for attendees and customize data collection for event managers. Usually, if you have an idea or need to execute a special workflow, Certain has a solve. The support team, customer success managers, and implementation specialists are 100% dedicated to ensuring the software can execute on customer needs. I also LOVE the page help option - makes it a lot easier to troubleshoot.
While it offers a WYSIWYG interface and a ton of helpful documentation with the Page Help feature, Certain is a very indepth tool to learn. The onboarding takes time and dedication, it's not an easy transition when onboarding new team members.
I do wish there were a bit more reporting metrics provided with the scheduled email functionality - similar to a true email automation system - open rates, click throughs, ability to get more granular on who is engaging with the email.
You will need a small, dedicated team to manage this platform and truly dive deep to understand all the functionality.
Most recently the biggest problem we solved was, of course, maintaining events in a digital capacity through the pandemic. Certain quickly pivoted at the start of the pandemic to ensure customers could continue engaging with their audience/end customers through digital events. One of the major benefits of the software is the customization options and logic-based rules that are built in so your event can cater specifically to different attendee types. It's a great benefit if your org deals with channel conflict or if need to market differently to or share specific information with different audiences.
I like the platform's ease of use. It makes it easy to build registration sites.
I wish that Certain had dedicated phone support for help. Having to send an email is not as effective.
Our company is now able to roll out a comprehensive virtual event series seamlessly using Certain Platform. The benefits are great, as we can help our customers and Certain integrates with our CRM system.
The template-looking platform and its flexablilty. In most cases, you don't even need to watch a webinar to learn how to use it.
Its not automatically mobile friend. Had to hire someone to code mobile-friendly templates for us to use.

We are a 3rd party planner with many clients. They all have different looks and feels they'd like their branded reg forms to be. we can do that with certain.
The integration with Eloqua and the EventStream capabilities were our two favorite features initially, but I also love all of the new features around content blocks and more modular content in general. I also really enjoy the partnership with the services and technical teams to get creative over the last year accomodating shift away from in-person events.
I think macro or multi-instance level reporting could be better and maybe have more of a marketplace of templates to start from/pull-down as needed.
Our field marketing teams execute 1000s of local events each year and prior to Certain these were only accommodated via manual uploads on other platforms (eg. agency-hosted or island landing/registration pages). This has helped us streamline about 1500+ even in 2020/year of C19.

I'm doing appointment diaries for IBTM AMERICAS 2019 and also 2018. I actually enjoy that the platform is focused on HB, this way all appointments are based on a funded decision and we don't oblige the HB to assist to the appointments.

I hope they fix the issue with creating a poll. It becomes a bit of a three-step process and I feel as though that can be simplified.
