It is very easy to use, navigate and search. Easy to update/ add changes or delete a note that was made in mistake. Able to open multiple windows to quickly finish tasks.

There are times the entire system will be down which means patients can not be seen as prior health history cannot be viewed. This is something all systems experience and probably one of the downsides of EMR in general

Allows us to quickly and efficiently document patient encounter, organize the note and complete different aspects of a traditional note. Also easily allows us to collaborate with other specialities to keep everyone on health team updated.

Easy deployment via SCCM. Field.techs had no issues deploying and testing the EMR software. No user issues reported.

We didn’t receive any complaints when upgrading from thick client to thin client.

Quick and convenient for scheduling and billing concerns

I absolutely love how easy it is for our Multi-physician practice (over 90 providers) is able to follow a patients care through out the practice. When a patient leaves his family practice doctor (one that is in our practice) and goes to his next appointment with his specialist (also in our practice) its so convenient for that specialist to just pull up the patients records from the family practice to review before he even sees the patient. It makes patient care much more reliable and easy for the patient as well because they do not have to request the records themselves to bring to other specialists visits.

There is nothing I dislike about this software.

There are so many benefits, too many to list. I like best of all the ease of patient care using this software.

I loved how easy it was to utilize this system for patient records and personalization (writing notes, editing, etc).

There was quite a bit of mouse clicking required in the learning process that wasn’t necessary; tutorials need redoing

Use the EMR and scheduling system together; far easier for staff

Being able to easily view, scan, date, organize patient information is key and very doable with this.

The scheduling feature is quite wonderful.

I absolutely love the conscience of this electronic medical records database. The most important things about electronic records for healthcare is that they flow in an order that makes sense for what you need to do on each patient so that you do not waste time by going back and forth through different pages.

I dislike how you have to change your password so many times! I keep forgetting my new ones and I’m running out of ideas!

We are solving the problem of having medical records on one database for a whole institute! It makes sharing medical records between providers much easier and therefore increasing the efficiency of healthcare.

Most helpful is the home screen where you can either go to a chart or the schedule extremely easily. Also, there is a way to clock in and out directly on Centricity EMR which is very helpful.

I dislike how it crashes and freezes more than once a month. Also, I dislike how you have to completely restart the application before logging into a different account after logging out of another one.

To make sure that you have the latest update and to keep updating because the new versions have additional virus protections, therefore they help the system run smoother.

We are solving business communication since we can use the system to message and even communicate where patients are in the building.

The system allows us to request observation terms which then allows us to track and graph items. Such as pain, degrees of curve in a scoliosis patient, lab values etc.

The complexity of the system. The system is flexible, any time you have a flexible system you can customize it will be complicated

You think you will not need something until later when you have gone to the next level in patient care and realize you can use some functions you thought where not necessary. We did a vertical build from the PM to add in the EMR so we did not need all the extra program others needed and had to interface. In the long run it was cheaper to stay with one system for PM and EMR.

Proper documentation is crucial for ICD-10, billing and coding. Using CPS our providers orders and documentation has eliminated having to use coding staff to bill for office procedures. Our providers use orders which are mapped to CPT codes and now produce well documented care and assessments.

I like centricity because it overall is very accurate and easy to access and also shows all patient visits with details
