DB amp provides a hassle free integration into SFDC straight from your SQL server. It just works, and works quickly

I cannot think of any dislikes. It just works.

Live connection to SFDC via SQL server. Helpful for small and big jobs.

I like that DBAmp takes the majority of the complexity out of the intergration process with Salesforce.

We do run into failures around connections, timeouts, or objects "not existing". Much of this is probably a Salesforce issue, but it takes time to troubleshoot.

Sometimes there are some bugs, and we have to wait until they release a new version. The good news is the Support team is really useful, and they offer a workaround.

That in the new version we need to change all the linked server calls to be salesforce.cdata and not salesforece...object
