Casepoint is a robust document review platform with the latest data analytics and AI/TAR technology included. The softwre is user friendly and the company frequently and consistently develops updated and advanced funcionality in order to keep our document reviews efficient and fast. Their customer support is stellar.
We have experienced a couple of issues where certain features did not function as intended, but their development team took prompt steps to resolve the problem.
Casepoint has assisted us in quickly and cost-effectively managing large document reviews to consistently meet our discovery obligations while maintaining budget.
Casepoint is intuitive, not only for me as admistrator, but most of end-users, e.g., attorneys and experts to review discovery documents. Search module is very generous. Reviewing pane is sensible. Easy to categorize per key words as well as some extension of logical phrases. Its subjective comment field works great for its searchability as well. Casepoint's screen set up is pleasant to look and easy on your eye for an extended use. Last but least, Casepoint's technical support is nonpareil. Quick and comprehensive response without exception. We have been happy with Casepoint for more than a decade.
Nothing structural or their services. Some anecdotal connectivity issues occurred a long time ago, which may or may not be on Casepoint. There has not been an issue that was not resolved by their technical support crew. It is a good system.
Conversion and unitization of ediscovery documents that are in different format (e.g. tiff, or email) or different origin (time zone) into one uniformed format for search, and review. This includes numerous back-end engineering to the discovery documents like, de-duping and segregation of families in email threads, all of which are indispensible tool to accomodate the ediscovery document review process efficient.
Casepoint is intuitive and easy to use. Everyone I've worked with at CasePoint is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their product and about litigation/eDiscovery in general. One thing that sets them out from the others is that you can send them feature requests. They send them to their development team and implement many of them ultimately. I've had some features added the same week!
CasePoint works hard to address concerns. If there is an issue with the application, they come up with a fix. They communicate regarding your issues and address them in real-time. Due to these factors, I can't think of anything that I dislike about CasePoint.
They have assisted with loading data and running productions many times when I'm at capacity and wasn't able to do it myself. I have used CasePoint since 2014 and have had consistently great service. They are responsive to emails around the clock; meet or exceed deadlines; they do quality work; and have helped me out of many sticky situations!
Casepoint is a very robust and versatile document review platform. The functionality creates efficiencies that are not found in other similar platforms.
I cannot think of anything that I dislike about Casepoint. There is going to be a learning curve, but that comes with adapting to any new software applications.
Processing ESI is fast and efficient - much faster than the previous program our firm was using. It ingests and converts very quickly which saves time and allows me to work on other projects.
Our Casepoint project manager and team are very responsive to our eDiscovery needs and questions. They make suggestions for better ways to manage eDiscovery. They have met all of our deadlines, including rush projects.
We have not found anything that we dislike about Casepoint. We have learned over time how to best manage the fees and costs associated with Casepont which our clients appreciate.
They have assisted us with large document reviews by incorporating advanced analytics and by providing optimal search strategies, recommending key terms and/or custodians to refine search perameters.
Casepoint can do just about everything you need it to. The features are well-thought out and the user interface is carefully considered.
I genuinely haven't come across any downside.
Casepoint manages workload by integrating features that minimize repetition and aid in speedy analyzing.
Self Service Admin flexibility with an easy to use reviewer / user interface.
Document Upload can at times be slow, but often overcome by using Casepoint provided "Desktop Client" application.
Predictable pricing model, and as a self service Admin, no waiting to begin or work within projects. Ability to scale user rights, or create custom views and templates.
I like the layout of the document review panel and coding form because it is easy to view and navigate through a project. The search tool is very user-friendly and assists in narrowing searches when necessary. The help database answers most questions about using the database, plus the training videos are beneficial to a new user.
I prefer to be able to page through a document by using a "Next Page" arrow when viewing a document in the image or native modes, but CasePoint does not have this feature. Instead, the user must scroll down constantly in a multi-page document which becomes tedious and slows down the review. I would like to see the software add a more definitive method of comparing near duplicate documents, other than their percentage of similarity.
The Outline feature streamlines the deposition preparation process.
Casepoint is an amazing eDiscovery review platform. Of all of the platforms I have used, and I have used nearly every platform available, Casepoint is head and shoulders above the pack in terms of customer service, affordability and intuitive UI.
I really have no dislikes for this platform other than I would remove the internal team, other than the support email, from the selection when sharing a document with other users.
I have used the platform for many eDiscovery matters as well as to identify personal data in data breach response matters. The platform works incredibly well for both purposes. In addition, the platform is highly customizable and is easily modified without the assistance of tech support.

Easy to learn and easy to train reviewers. All futures make sense and perform well. The all-inclusive model is great; we don't have to worry about running up costs when working with analytics. The production module is well-developed and versatile. I like CasePoint's data import tools, both web-based and desktop-based. They make data imports easy. CasePoint also provides free "office hours", which save money on training. I worked with several e-discovery solutions in the past, web-based and on-premises, and CasePoint has been my favorite to use for many years. There are so many great features in this application but my favorite are: cloud collection, semi-transparent and multi-color redactions, document unitization, email tread visualization tool, and built-in case summary tool.
Not having a flat-fee subscription is a downside. Also hoping to get native document redaction soon.
The most significant benefit for us so far is having a highly reliable could-based solution that can be equally accessed by our reviewers located across the US. We also were able to reduce the review time by using certain analytics.
