Healthwyse - Quirky But Effective
What do you like best about Casamba Health and Hospice?
I enjoy the ability for my entire organization to utilize different aspects of the program. From the caregivers. chaplains, social workers and to myself in development, we all have a use for Healthwyse as far as entering and retrieving data.
What do you dislike about Casamba Health and Hospice?
The program has glitches. It is a lot for my computer to handle and has a tendency to freeze up and I have to restart my computer. In addition, when I am running reports, the program often freezes and never loads the data. Our IT team here at Partners In Care is always having to fix Healthwyse, and it is such a vital program to the efficiency of our organization, that when it goes down, it causes a lot of grief for those who depend on it for charting.
What problems is Casamba Health and Hospice solving and how is that benefiting you?
We previously had to manually chart a lot of our patient information. With the addition of Healthwyse, we have been able to improve efficiency in time spent with patients vs time spent charting. We have more time to see clients face to face, and we can enter a lot of information easily while on site. We can also tailor the program to include info that is organization specific- for instance for our HosPet volunteer pet therapy program, we can ask about whether the patient enjoys pets and would like volunteers from this program. We can also track Veteran status and honor Veteran's appropriately.

HealthWyse Mobile made some good changes and is a little more user friendly.
What do you dislike about Casamba Health and Hospice?
It can be very confusing to learn for new beginners. The trainings for healthwyse mobile were just ok. They could be improved. Still had to connect to get up to date information.
What problems is Casamba Health and Hospice solving and how is that benefiting you?

Still learning Healthwyse but there seems room for improvement already.
What do you like best about Casamba Health and Hospice?
- That there is a filter to sort discharged patients.
What do you dislike about Casamba Health and Hospice?
- The filter for “PRIMARY only” shows discharged patients.
Recommendations to others considering Casamba Health and Hospice?
- Can’t see WHO entered medications.
What problems is Casamba Health and Hospice solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Can’t see history of VFOs on my side. I will only be able to see that a VFO for this week is in play 2/week. But when i look at the 5 day schedule or try to pull a second visit by clicking “GO” later that week none willl populate. My supervisor is able to pull up on his/her desktop the history and see that VFOs were changed or made oddly such that the visit was already used a different week. Maybe I do not understand because i am still new to Healthwyse but none of the other nurses were able to help me sort this problem, only my supervisor.
