It's inexpensive and I like that it supports android as well because that's what type of phone I have.
Irs a flimsy design. It could be made with better quality and not sure why they're aren't any headstraps to hold it firmer.
The biggest truly is the design. There is no padding so it's not as comfortable. It's not ideal to use during most scenarios.
The benefits are the set up is quick at least.
Good initial exposure to VR technology especially for novice developers to begin working on the technology and get the required device simulation. Supports both iOS and Android.Clear lens and straps to hold device in place
Not confortable. Cannot be used for longer durations. The product doesn't place much emphasis on user friendliness
Initial introduction to developing programs for VR technology. Helps to onboard users faster considering that it is cheap as compared to other options available in the market.
For very less reasonable price and comfortable to handle
Very much restrictive with respect to rendering and handling models
Low poly models rendering was issue resolved using level of detailing of models(LODs)
The viewing material. The Quality of product.
Need a box to carry it anywhere. Nothing.
It is helping me to view the 4R content in efficient way. Viewing pattern.
It's Easy to use and light weight product, so handy to carry anywhere.
It's made up of cardboard, but yet very good to have feel of Virtual world
The lenses are also good, it's doesn't provide stress to the eyes even after long time usage
It has no strap, we have to hold the cardboard by hand. It should come up with built in holding mechanism
Good product to enjoy VR
I'm using it to enjoy movies and videos virtually. The app converts any normal video to fit for VR which is good.
The cost of the complete solution is basically its main feature
You can use your current mobile phone, as long as you have Android, to use it
Since it's so cheap there's not really any issues with it breaking or getting damaged
New version of Android uses it better
The material used for Cardboard is not the best possible, so you need to be careful with how you use it and where you use it
The project we were using it for required something a little bit more developed, altough we obviously understand that this is a low cost solution and it cannot have all the bets features for the same price
Real VR has gotten cheaper and better
If you need a cheap and easy introduction to VR hardware and possible usages, this is your best option. I stopped using it since we moved from that project to something else, but look at it before going for the Occulus or other options.
We are not current users of it because our project got cancelled, but this is basically your best option for low cost VR and easy to develop for
Mainly as a proof of concept, since I do not use it with my work but it's something that we're looking into
Trying to implement a Kanban solution using VR and some custom software that we were developing
Introduce VR to customers with afforable headset
Cardboard structure are not strong enough
Solve VR scene to customer to build mock-up sample
The best feature is that it can be used on multiple platforms and for almost all kinds of work
It's high price is a downside. I think its price can be a little lower to what it is now
It is a great product. Highly comparable with microsoft hololens and ither similar products in market.
I have used it for 3d modelling purpose. It makes life so easy even for beginners.
Cost -- plain and simple. While the official Google Cardboard viewer is $15.00, there are quite a few lower cost (≈$9) viewers out there.
Most viewers require physically holding the cardboard to your face. There are obvious drawback here, particularly if watching long-form content. That said, you can purchase (more expensive) viewers with the option to strap your device to your head.
Go into it understanding the limitations of the basic viewers.
Content is best viewed from a Cardboard-ready phone (listed on the Google Cardboard site).
Again, the viewers' low entry points make VR accessible to everyone. It's a huge benefit at trade shows -- you can provide branded viewers to passersby at minimal cost, and allow them to view product/experience locations in a virtual space.

Cardboard is the best version of anytime anywhere VR experience. Fits right in budget, is versatile, and offers anywhere use and setup is very easy too.
Just one drawback for me. Its not for high end experience, limitation of Remote control tracking.
Have solves some visualization, industrial solutions using Cardboard. Also used in real estate.
