Improved Interview Focus, High Quality Transcriptions, Seamless Integrations, Collaborative Interviewing
Inaccurate AI Summaries, Occasional Software Glitches, Limited ATS Integrations, Confusing Candidate Experience with Call Recording
BrightHire is a popular tool for recruiters, helping them focus on the interview and build rapport with candidates, rather than taking notes. Users praise the live tagging and notes feature, along with the ability to rewatch interviews and share clips. The transcription, while not always perfect, is considered helpful for navigating recordings. Some users find the platform's interface a bit clunky, and there are occasional integration issues with other platforms, like Workday. Overall, users appreciate BrightHire's time-saving benefits for streamlining the hiring process and reducing bias.

The ease of use and quick visualization of calls. It's easy to identify highlights or even areas of concern with candidates through icons and the star rating. Our team does not use it as a micro-management tool but as a way to hold themselves accountable to professional development. It takes the pressure off of the recruiter from rapidly typing notes during a call and allows them to be present and truly listen.
Sometimes the transcription isn't accurate, especially if the call references newer technologies.
It allows our team to "check to tape" and review their own performance while also giving them time to review a candidate's qualifications after the call. They can also share calls with team members for a second review. It has also been instrumental in training our new team members as they learn how to navigate calls with new candidates. Even the most seasoned recruiters have benefited from listening back to conversations in order to identify what is most important to an active job seeker.
My favorite thing about BrightHire is the ability to create screening guides that are easy to follow during calls. Also, the transcription of the calls are spot on! I love that I can listen to my calls in their entirety, or jump to different parts.
The only downside to using BrightHire is that sometimes the call quality isn't the best. I find that it's easier to hear when calling from a mobile device as opposed to a computer.
BrightHire allows me to screen candidates and seamlessly record calls so that I can be fully present during conversations and I can go back and take notes later. As a recruiter this is extremely helpful.
Focus is back on the candidate rather than notetaking. You can really spend time building rapport with candidates.
No integration with Workday :( The process is very manual for high volume recruiting without integration.
BrightHire is helping with decreasing our attrition with our customer service teams. By being able to record, review, train, and analyze interviews, it is helping up make sure we are finding the best talent.
Brighthire removes a lot of heavy lifting from my day-to-day as a recruiter! I have frequent interviews and often transcribe a call while conducting it, leaving a lot of haphazard notes and having to analyze and distill into feedback. Brighthire's AI Notes feature has enabled me to not type and focus on the call, and afterward, I'm given organized feedback on the candidates, ready for a hiring manager to review easily. I no longer have to spend a portion of my day rewriting and distilling these calls.
Brighthire's interview recordings are also incredibly helpful in improving the dropoff rate of candidates in the process. I understand why a candidate might withdraw from the interview process by reviewing the interview recordings. That has influenced my sourcing strategy because I can better identify candidate backgrounds most interested in a particular position. This feature has saved a lot of time for all interviewers. I'm also able to give better coaching to hiring managers on how to sell the role, ensuring the best candidates stay in the process by having the best information to inform their decision and interest in a particular role.
The Brighthire AI Notes feature is still in development, and has already saved me a lot of time. However, I utilize detailed scorecard templates and have to spend time manually copy-pasting the right notes into the right sections of the scorecard template.
I have spent a lot of time writing feedback manually from interviews. My attention during an interview is divided between typing raw notes (often a transcription of what they say) and writing robust feedback from those notes. Brighthire enables me to focus on the candidate and saves me time by writing the structured feedback summary for me based on the calls.
Brighthire is a very new tool with a lot of features, so it can seem overwhelming to learn how to use a new tool. For example, if you know how to use an ATS, it's not too challenging to switch to a different ATS's tooling and UX. However, Brighthire's support team is incredibly supportive. When using the new tools, our Brighthire partner, Sam, always made herself available through Slack and happily jumped on a test call with me at a moment's notice. I felt very prepared to use a new feature just an hour before using it with a candidate.
Smart platform for recording and transcribing interviews along with great features such as highlighting moments, analytics and smart integration into our ATS. I have never seen anything like it.
This product has improved a lot since I first implemented it. I have no complaints!
Interviewers are writing better scorecards with deeper insights into the conversation and assessment of candidates. Giving us better data to make better hiring decisions.
BrightHire is bringing modern software and best practices to recruiting. It helps that the leadership team there are all smart, thoughtful, customer-obsessed, and have just been terrific partners to us. In short, it will soon be considered insane and backwards to not use software like this in a hiring process, so might as well be an earlier adopter, especially in such a competitive labor market.
Nothing so far. They keep shipping new updates and features rapidly and we're looking forward to the product continuing to evolve and get even better.
BrightHire allows us to: (1) Save a MASSIVE amount of time by reducing the number of interviews required to make a high quality decision, (2) Ramps our recruiters, interviewers and hiring managers much faster, (3) Gets us to better hiring decisions by allowing more senior people to review interviews efficiently and ensure they're watching the same thing. All of which also leads to better candidate experience.
Allows my team to share key feedback about a candidate, and calibrate our search in real time. Removes objectivity to our hiring process.
Zoom plugin someti'es doesn't work. But most recent update has it working better
Aligns team. Helps calibrate org. Focuses our search. Don't know what I would do w out it
I love the organization of the call guides. It keeps me on track and allows me to build stronger relationships with candidates.
Everything is great and very user friendly. I also love how it continues to evolve.
I am solving to keep the organization of candidate calls strong.
The platform enables employers to create custom video interview questions and then use AI to analyze the responses of candidates, providing insights into their communication skills, personality traits, and other factors.
BrightHire aims to reduce bias in the hiring process by analyzing candidate responses based on their merit, rather than on factors like gender, race, or age.
The best feature so far is their AI notes.
Awesome experience overall.
As a user, I can't think of any at the moment. It has made my journey easy with the candidtaes.
It saves me time with its brilliant new feature, the AI notes.
Easy to call. The recording features are awesome as well, in case you missed something and you want to tweak it back. So overall best platform.
