BPA CRM is based on MS SharePoint and delivers not just a SharePoint Template, but a complete configuration framework for SharePoint.
You can use the "Ready-to-Go" templates from BPA Solutions for CRM or other processes and they do a great job for most SMBs out of the box.
But if there is any need, you can modify, configure, enhance these templates in any way you like. And you can do that yourself without developers as the complete system has been designed to be configured by NON-technical people.
Out of the box, you get all stuff you need fpr account-, contact-, opportunity-, campaign- and e-mail-management. Additionally, you get a cool set of tools to build reports, charts, data entry forms and more. Not to forget that you have built-in abilities to merge SharePoint data into MS WORD or MS Excel and also a cool integration for outlook, which helps you send Outlook objects back to your BPA system.
As everything based on SharePoint, typical SharePoint users will understand pretty easy how to configure and enhance the system and due to the enhancements of the BPA xRM framework, you get rif of almost all things that suck with SharePoint, including the awkward UI.
I would appreciate a more sophisticated pre-configuration for reports, charts and word-templates. And it would be great if it would be possible to buy the system without template, too, if you want to use the BPA xRM framework to create other applications as provided by BPA Solutions.
BPA CRM is a very good choice for SMBs that use SharePoint already and want to enhance functionality on this platform. We know the SharePoint market very well and we have not found another system that delivers that kind of flexibility without programming.
If you are looking for a specialized social CRM, BPA is outperformed in that discipline by systems like nimble, but BPA delivers the unique ability to integrate a VERY LONG process chain in one tool and with VERY SHORT implementation cycles.
We started to implement our internal CRM system based on BPA xRM in 2007. We enhanced the solution to fulfill all application needs we have, so we use one platform for CRM, ERP, Invoicing, project management, contracting, recruiting etc.
One of the biggest advantages for us has been that we could grow and shrink the system together with our needs and that we have integrated everything on one platform without integration problems.
As we migrated the system from SharePoint 2007 (wss 3.0) to SharePoint 2010 (foundation 4.0) and this year to SharePoint 2013 (Server), we can say that the system is our central base for everything and will probably be that for a long time.
