Botify is a technical SEO tool that helps users analyze website performance and identify SEO issues. Users praise Botify for its comprehensive features, including website crawls, performance analyses, and detailed reports that highlight technical issues like thin content, missing tags, and keyword gaps. While some users find the interface initially complex, the platform offers customization, integration with Google Search Console, and helpful support from the Botify team. Botify is particularly appreciated for its ability to analyze large websites and provide actionable insights for optimizing search engine rankings.

The platform is easy to use, and with some familiarisation, it's easy to extract important insights. Without Botify, we would be missing critical information, which would affect our SEO. The support team is so knowledgable; working with them greatly benefits us and improves the service.
There are no downsides of using Botify - it's an excellent tool for all websites. I would prefer to have full access to all the historical crawls for a longer period, or at least be able to recall them if needed on an ad-hoc basis. However, there is an option for this on a different package.
Identifying technical SEO issues and analysing keyword performance. I also use it to identify new keyword opportunities
Botify provides many SEO metrics and insights, including crawl data, page speed, internal linking structure, and keyword rankings. Users can use this information to identify areas where they need to improve their website's SEO, and then take action to optimize their website accordingly.
I would integrate more third-parties APIs like Looker Studio.
Quick access to crawls.
Best for crawling gigantic sites, and it has a great way of reporting by using its large amount of filters and integrations.
Data processing sometimes are slow. But I got to mention that they improve a lot. Not a big issue now.
As a Technical SEO, it helps me to find and fix errors quickly, find areas of opportunities and more. Log Analyzer is incredible.
It's the most complete tech SEO tool in the industry right now. It's really easy to get custom reports.
It can sometimes take a lot of time to load. There is a lot of information and it can be daunting to use.
Getting all the data in one place even if getting an integration with Ahrefs would be fantastic.
Without Botify I simply would not be able to accurately crawl the pages of the website I work on (tens of millions of pages). It makes identifying areas for improvement and tracking the impact of doing so an absolute doddle, and the team are excellent at going above and beyond to help out further!
I can't really think of any downsides. Perhaps the on-page and KW research elements could be made stronger, but that's not what I wanted from the tool anyway, so not having it wasn't a loss at all.
Again, I simply would not be able to accurately crawl my website with any other crawling tool option on the market at this present time! It helps me vastly improve technical SEO and monitor the success of and troubleshoot my internationalisation project.
The ability to parse out so many different page types and data sets in Botify is a huge plus for a large e-commerce site. While most crawling tools offer limited data and no ability to segment out different marketplaces, pagetypes, or URL strings, Botify has massive configurability to make sense of what is happening in those segments. Additionally, we can set automated alerts and customized insights within Botify to let us know when common issues happen on the site, or when our implementations lead to growth.
While the Custom Reports are a great tool, these tools are more limited than other portions of Botify and have limited amounts of data charts that I can add, which can cause me to have to create several custom reports for the same work track.
Botify helps us to circumvent Javascript rendering issues on the site via SpeedWorkers Dynamic Rendering, and gives us unmatched insights that power our KPI's and metrics that are reported to leadership. Tracking these metrics amid infrastructure and optimization changes on the site help us evangelize the growth we are driving to the business.
It gives me the data I need to plan and execute complex technical SEO issues, optimize crawl budget, and more. The support is second to none out of any SEO platform I've used, with a dedicated team always ready to help dig into the newest problems.
Price is prohibitive to use on smaller teams, which may make it harder to onboard. There is a learning curve to the platform, but once you get it concepts tend to carry over to most sections of the tool.
Botify is helping to give me a more complete picture of enormous sites that tools like Screaming Frog or Sitebulb cannot manage well over time. This allows me to spend less time managing crawls and more time making positive impact to our SEO value.
The best thing about Botify is how easy it is to use; I've used other crawl analyzers before (Screaming Frog), but Botify is clear, simple to use and yet powerful! The variety of different analysis functions it offers is more than I need as a content editor, so it's a great tool for use across functions and disciplines across the business. We have a technical SEO team who use Botify to alert them of potential problems with our website, and I use it to get large swathes of information, such as which of our 7500 blog posts have been correctly tagged with a translation tag via hreflang, or where SEO titles are not optimized for the target keyword, for example.
The only thing I haven't worked out how to do (yet!), and this might be on me, is to save a set of filters or columns as a custom report that I can come back to time and time again. I am sure there is a way to do this; I just haven't worked it out yet. If I had one criticism, it would be that this tool can do so much; it can sometimes be challenging to drill down to find what you're looking for quickly.
If you're looking for an SEO tool that can do mostly everything on the monitoring and crawling front, look no further!
I primarily use Botify to gather crawl data, SEO tags, etc. The ease of access to this data is convenient given the large quantity of content on our blog, which has more than 7500 blog posts. Other crawling and SEO analysis tools I've used do not give you all the information you need so quickly or offer so much customization in the filters, for example.
I like how direct the data is presented. Once you get familiar with the queries and filters available, the data is presented clear, concise, and easily exportable for future review.
With all the data available and a robust interface, it can be overwhelming for a new user to learn on the fly. However, our organization has strong users who have shared a tremendous amount of knowledge to help us get the most out of the platform.
Identifying concerns with our technical configuration and areas we can address to improve SEO. Also, helps us identify where we are exceeding so that we can continue to evolve in areas of strength as well.
