Scheduling board & committee meetings, maintaining documents and sharing information with our board members.
I am happy with Boardable and have nothing to share.
Having one location to maintain everything related to the board.
Boardable has been a gamechanger for us, and overwhemingly has increased the professionalism of our Board. From an administrative perspective, it saves so much time creating and distributing agendas and minutes, and any discussions get instant engagement from Board members. Minutes are quickly finalised within a short time of a meeting finishing.
The task function is great to keep members accountable. It is also great having all our documentation available for our members to access at any time, such as Board policies, induction manual, position descriptions, terms of reference, etc.
The ability to run a meeting online as well as F2F is also a bonus, especially with the switch to online that happened during COVID.
Our only complaint is around the formatting of the minutes. Very easy to take minutes during a meeting, but when you go back in to edit, it is a little cumbersome and the formatting can be a bit ugly. But the time saving far outweighs the ugliness!
Using Boardable solved the problem of confidentiality - of documentation and electronic communications, which would previously have have been done over email. Everything is now secure, in one place and easily accessible for future Board members.
This product is so user friendly, even our technically challenged Board members can use it.
There is nothing I dislike....there are some features that I do not utilize. Lots of options
No more printed documents and the material is readily available for review prior to the meeting
I love how easy it is to schedule, organize and record meetings within Boardable. Prior to using Boardable I would have to save each packet file as a PDF in a folder, then merge them all together. Being able to drag and drop items into the agenda, assign them to meeting members and print the packet as a whole has transformed my job. I no longer spend hours putting together a board packet.
Occasional glitches, but I find that Boardable's help desk is very responsive and helpful!
Boardable has given me so much time back into my role to use for other tasks! The system makes scheduling, organizing and recording meetings a breeze and our Board members love it!
What I love about Boardable is the agenda and the ability to produce board packets has made getting ready for Board meetings so much easier.
There isn't anything I dislike about Boardable.
We used to email everything. It took a lot of time stitching PDFs packets together for Board meetings. If I had last-minute changes, I would have to restitch the packets and resend everything via email, which becomes confusing for very busy meetings. Now, Boardbale makes putting packets so simple.
Boardable is designed for Boards and those they serve. As a Board admin, Boardable has given me a single place to coordinate all of our business so we can stay organized, informed, and efficient. Accessibility is also critical for our users so the fact that users with assistive technologies can navigate the platform and access materials is huge.
There are always ways to improve the experience by shortening use case paths, working on document formatting, and creating new and useful features for users. The team does a good job at listening.
Saving time, formatting docs, centralizing communication, ensuring consistency, accessible for screen readers, works for the spectrum of technical abilities, sleek platform
I like being able to schedule meetings & put all the board docs in one place for meetings. The fact that it will automatically send email reminders to board members about meetings saves me time I just don't have. Also, there is no excuse anymore for "missing an email" with attached board documents. The online agenda allows everyone to see what is planned, the related documents, and it is easy to record minutes. Board members can log whether they will be in attendance so that helps ensure a quorum before a meeting begins.
Nothing I dislike about Boardable.........
I used to have to gather all the board reports, convert many to pdfs, then combine them into a board packet and email/mail out to Board members who may or may not acknowledge receipt. I never knew until the day of the meeting sometimes whether people would be in attendance. Board members have real time access to board documents and a calendar. We created folders for marketing materials, governance documents, etc. When/If Board members need copies of IRS letter or bylaws, they don't have to email the Executive Director. When we have a new board member, I can guide them on what is available in Boardable instead of sending them a hard copy binder.
Boardable is user-friendly and makes organizing board documents and meetings a breeze.
We haven't come across any problems as of yet
We used to send out a board package via email before the monthly meetings. Now our board members can access all the documents in one place.
Boardable has been a great connector for our board and the information around decisions made in the board room and committee meetings. Having immediate access to board information has been extremely helpful regardless of where you are.
If I had to have a downside, it would be that not everyone in the boardroom has the same technological skills
Continuity of information and a more reliable connection between board members and pertinent board information. Great to have archived details at your fingertips and accessible at all times from anywhere you can connect your phone or laptop. When traveling, it has made developing agenda for future meetings and verifying information so easy.

Our small non-profit and board of directors used another board management application for a number of years with a great deal of frustration. We finally made the switch to boardable about 18 months ago and have been extremely pleased. Setting up all of our board members was a simple process and learning most of the features was pretty intuitive. We have used it consistently for board and committee meetings on at least a monthly basis and find the agenda development, minutes tracking, and especially the polling feature to be very helpful. We also use Boardable for board document management and have been equally pleased with the convenience and ease of use.
Honestly there is nothing about Boardable that I dislike. All of our needs have been met with the available components. I do find it a bit odd that generating a full board packet for meetings is an add-on feature but that has been more of a "like to have" than a need for us.
Boardable has been particularly helpful in keeping our board activities organized. The agenda and attachments for the meetings are readily available before and after the meeting and having the minutes as an integrated feature has been great. I feel much more confident that we are staying compliant with our documentation.
