Having one login for parents is helpful. The way that fees are spelled out clearly is also really nice.

When we have to amend a contract, we have difficulties. We have created a non-integrated contract, and that works OK. We have had issues with payment options if someone enrolls after the first day of school.

Tuition Management is helping us streamline the login experience for our families.

I don't like that I can't schedule individual payments months in advance. (This may be a setting directed by the individual school and not a Smart Tuition controlled feature.)

I love the integration with Blackbaud Enrollment Management. I believe that this platform is easy for parents to use as well. The ability to offer automated payments has improved our collections since we started with (then) Smart Tuition until today.

Would prefer detailed posting to the GL rather than the summary. Would also like to see the ability to send GL posting data to FE and have the batch remain open for editing rather than coming over as posted. The initial setup of TMS took 2-3 years for me to really wrap my head around how the system integrates with each module. Now that we're humming along, things are 95% great.

Limited accounting features and complicated set-up for most.

Ensure that you know your accounting policies prior to implementation, especially relating to deferrals, Accounts Receivable, and recognitions. Understand billing cycles and cash cycles are two different beasts.

Semi-automatic Accounts Receivable leading to a significantly reduced FTE responsibility. Better reporting and transparency on AR.

Interactive and robustness, 24 hour availability, easy access and compatibility with all platforms.

Not enough time to spend as well as the cost. Budgets are issues during Covid-19 period around the world.

I like how we can keep track with each student financial records. And bill directly from their accounts.

It took a month to catch up. So parents were not billed the first month of school. Which caused their accounts to look like the were doubled billed the second month.

The benefit has been to have the students tuition, lunch and any other payments all together in one program.

Smart Tuition has allowed our school to enroll students with online payments. It has really streamlined the process and enable us to pay in a way that suits our needs.

It can be a bit confusing if you don't use it very often.

Use it enough and it is very easy! Don't use it often and there's a learning curve.
