Blackbaud CRM covers so many different areas of functionality. It really helps to centralize all of the different parts of donor management in one place.
The database view is not as user friendly and can sometimes be slow.
This has helped handle large amounts of information and organize it in the way that is best for your organization to use.
This system has been very user-friendly and gives me the ability to tackle multiple job duties within one platform. I can update contact information, send invitations for events, and track annual giving all using the same system. This makes my job much easier.
Some of the functions are limited. When you filter your selections they are automatically saved to those preferences and you have to unselect them during your next visit to get different search results.
Consolidated constituent database. I am able to maintain constituent records, send correspondence, verify educational background and track giving history all within one system.
I LOVE THE CAPABILTY TO MANAGE DONORS FROM BEGINNING TO END. FROM PROSPECTIMG TO STEWARDING. REVENUE EASILY STORED AND REPORTED ON. MANAGE ALL FUNDRAISING AND EVENTS.

Its worth learning a new system! Do not resist!

Advancement are taking donations and able to keep track of constituents more concisely.
Blackbaud CRM makes it easy to see key constituent data at a glance. I can quickly and easily get info when needed and the various integrations, such as the Events module, make it a great tool to capture overall engagement.
Due to the large amount of data, there are times where the system takes a minute to refresh, as it's combing through the vast database. That said, I don't have many issues with the CRM system.
Understand your data needs and the various ways it needs to be integrated, managed, and reported.
For the work I do, Blackbaud CRM is key to incorporating event data, to track a variety of engagement types. We can track registration in an individual event while simultaneously marking each invitee's communication and event attendance records.
Blackbaud CRM helps to solve essential issues for advancement including a responsive email system and many partnerships with other programs that make the CRM experience much easier
Some of the processes and entry are cumbersome for Blackbaud. There could possibly be a more tech savvy way to update the database.
Blackbaud CRM is able to assist with solving the problem of integrating with outside companies to register when moves are made that effect our customers.
Simple to use, ability to extract information and pull reports
Handling of soft credits - need to create various types of soft credit (between family members, between individual and private business etc)
For the most part, I can pull exactly the information I need in reports through queries and exports
I love that staff can track communications and relationships with our donors and we can look up historical data
Crm takes forever to get used to. Sometimes It seems like way too much work for a little payout.
Crm is great for relationship management and data tracking
Blackbaud's search function is very simple to use. They also have a thorough Knowledge Base. Additionally, when our team needed further assistance, we were easily able to contact our rep to come out and give us in-person training.
Older "models" of Blackbaud are clunky; it's best to have the latest model.
Just make sure you have the latest of what Blackbaud has to offer!
We primarily use Blackbaud to track donors; this works for our giving teams well.
