It's so easy to use and to organize the shortened links.
There is nothing I dislike about this platform. It attends to my needs.
We can publish many links in many places quickly and with a friendly layout.
I love the ease of use when creating shortened links and the ability to customize the file name. It's also great to be able to see an overview of how the link is performing, at a quick glance, using the provided graphs & timeline.
Nothing. I haven't found another site or program that can do what Bitly can do so concisely.
Bitly has been very helpful when sharing links on printed pieces -- when you don't want to type out a long (& ugly) URL, which your audience would then have to type out themselves to get to the page your promoting. Bityly makes the links short & sweet (and customized to file names that make sense with whatever you're promoting).
It's very easy to take a long URL and shorten it. Plus, the analytics are easy and very practical, presenting you very useful information once you log in.
I wish the bitly had even more analytics
It is one of the best URL shortening tools available. It' easy and has great analytics. I love bitly.
Long URLs are not good for social media, especially Instagram, where you can't click from the post, so a short URL and being able to personalize it makes it more memorable and a better opportunity to get a click through on IG
very intuitive and straightforward, many options and possibilities
Difficult to delete hold links and doesn't work with VPN (have to disconnect when on VPN)
URL shortener and URL personalization makes it much more reliable for readers
For a long time, we were using extremely long links on social media that we thought looked very spammy. Not to mention, in places where links aren't clickable such as Instagram captions, nobody would be able to even try to remember a long URL to type into their browser! Bitly has helped us create shorter links for a better appearance within social media captions. We have also used bitly links on flyers or graphics where people can't actually click the link, for the purpose of ease in remembering the link if they wanted to look more into the info we are providing in the flyer or graphic.
Even further, we also enjoy the custom branded link capability so that we can have more brand recognition in our URLs. We have also used their QR code feature.
The analytics bitly provides for both the shortened links and QR codes has been extremely helpful for our marketing strategy because it helps us determine what links people are clicking on and what links people are not clicking on.
We had trouble finding a custom domain for our short link. I also don't necessarily like that the ending of our link is ".cc"....I wish we could customize this as well, but I'm sure the endings of the links are limited based on internet requirements etc.
Other than that, there's nothing we dislike!
It is helping us shorten links for the purpose of engagement on social media and in materials where links aren't clickable, and it is also helping us with our analytics of what links are working/not working.
Bitly is one of the best free saas tools I have used to generate our QR codes & shorten URLs. The platform has a very easy and reliable user interface even for first time users. The tool also helps you track engagement rates like clicks which is very helpful.
The only downside I have faced with the platform is that you can just shorten 100 URLs a month and generate 2 QR Codes per month. I hope they reduce the price for paid plans for small startups like us.
One of the big issues we resolved with bitly is that we were able to reduce our long payment URLs within 30 characters which is very essential while sending our SMS to customers after new TRAI rules which became effective from this year. Another one was that we were able to track the click rates on each link created on Bitly, which was very essential with respect to our marketing purpose.
Bitly was the first choice always to make URL shorter. It supports custom URLs also. UI is very easy and useful. It is fast service and has high SLA
I hope they can provide more custom URLs with paid plans and more limits.
- Shorten URL for social networks
- Analyse and monitor incoming network
- Have custom short urls
