Bevspot is best for ordering and inventory. It is also quite good for recipe costing, reporting, and variance tracking.

As a client, they have always had great customer service and an open ear to constructive criticism and suggestions.

I like the ability to take inventory electronically. While it does not have a mobile app, the mobile website is very easy to use.. In particular, I like the screen for taking inventory of liquor bottles. It allows the user to draw on a picture of a bottle when taking inventory of partial bottles. The site then calculates the percentage remaining in the bottle.

I dislike the level of reporting available in the version we utilize. I hesitate to put this under dislike though because we use the basic level of the program. It does contain an Excel file that can be downloaded with each inventory completed. There is also a file that can be downloaded with information regarding orders placed.

Make sure to reach out and discuss your needs with one of the sales representatives. He or she will make sure that you are pointed toward the best version of the program to meet your needs. The person that I worked with was very responsive to my emails. This was a refreshing difference from some other vendors I have worked with in the past.

BevSpot allowed our organization to transition from a paper and spreadsheet based inventory system to an electronic inventory system. We have realized more efficient inventory management and better organization of orders placed with our distributors.

I like that BevSpot makes it easy to keep track of the products I have on hand.

There isn't much that I dislike doubt using BevSpot

The potential savings I was sold on that it would save me from Sculpture

I disliked many things. First, the software itself was less expensive to lease however, the labor it took to execute weekly inventory were many more times greater than Sculpture. This came from different parts of the execution. One area was estimating the volume of product in each bottle as opposed to weighing them. Then you had to manually enter the inventory as opposed to the weight self populating the inventory. Another was setting up the app to work; it took dozens of hours longer.

Second, we hand to manually calculate the total number of liters of spirits at the end of each month so I could file my county liquor tax. You would think this would be an easy update but after 6 months of requesting it, we realized they were not going to do it.
