The platform has allowed us to develop our initial simple use cases with clear scope for further development as our experience with the platform grows. Users are able to build right from the start and experts can enhance applications in a collaborative way. Where necessary the team at Betty Blocks has always been responsive and extremely supportive helping us through challenges in a way that ensures we pick up the knowledge of how to tackle the issue for future developments.

In our experience so far there is nothing to dislike about either the platform or the team at Betty Blocks. During our cooperation, everything has met and succeeded our expectations.

Some of the main features that have proved most useful in meeting business requirements include the ability to create prototypes quickly and accurately, being able to show back-office functionality readily available and working - and the ability to create templates to reuse, for example, the company's visual identity.

The support offered is really very good and customer service is focused on providing and improving the level of services offered.

The use of Betty Blocks has greatly improved several phases of design and project management, such as the collection of requirements and the possibility of making new functions operational (in the production environment) quickly and safely.

Another key aspect of the Betty Blocks offering is the licensing model, which allows new business services to be developed and delivered with a cost-effective impact compared to other LCNC platforms and the time and cost of traditional software development.

Among the main points of improvement, I would include features concerning the advanced programming part - which therefore goes beyond the basic features of an LCNC platform - such as the possibility to integrate code using other programming languages and the management of different versions of an application.

In any case, the platform is constantly being expanded and improved, so I expect that in a few months' time the functions available will increase and improve significantly in many respects, including stability and performance.

The main reason for platform adoption was for the development of highly customized solutions according to customer requirements.

It's very easy to start creating an app. You start creating a datamodel by just clicking. You can create a page in minutes by dragging and dropping components. There are a lot of components available at the moment. When you miss a component, there is a possibility to create the missing component by yourself. It's also very easy to create some actions (workflows/function). You don't have to write any code anymore.

Pricing is quite high. When you want to use Betty Blocks as a platform, you have to pay licences. This pricing is quite high for "just" a platform where you can build applications.

This pricing deters many companies from Belgium. But when they see what's possible with this platform, they will be conviced.

Follow a training to know the platform.

We as a partner (Aziri) create applications for our customers. We already made for example a webshop, a bill of material, quote tools, surveys, transport calculations, ...

The backoffice and its simplicity really enable me to speed up development end explain to the customers what is happening

It is not possible to copy-paste an action flow, which would help speed things even more, but not too annoying since building it again is fast

It is easy to get started and build an application, but you do need knowledge on the logic of how application building works, so do connect with one of the partners for advice if you want to create a big application

It's not really something typical for this company, but the legal part is never easy.

Quickly setup an application for a brand new business idea

I love the instant usage of the application so I can see results and have a feeling how the system works.

At the moment I haven't met any roadblocks as I got started. There are some minor issues when creating the apps when you re-use the same name for an app which you deleted. There could be a validation that the app name has already been used. Maybe I lack knowledge.

Just try to do something and see how you get immediate results!

Betty Blocks offers all elements needed to create custom web applications in a nice looking and very easy to use interface. Apart from the basic aspects (datamodel, screens) it is the additional possibilities (workflows, actions, external interfaces, rights, expressions) that really make this platform very powerful.

Not much. A better way to create 1:n relations would be nice, and build-in multi-language support (but that is coming soon). Overall, most wishes are added quickly.

Whenever the system you are building is mostly about registering (and viewing/editing) data, Betty Blocks is a perfect solution. The main benefits are the short development time, and the flexibility that remains when the system is in use.
