Ease of Use, Affordable Pricing, Reliable Backups, Excellent Customer Support
Occasional Software Glitches, Confusing Licensing Model, Slow Restore Times, Limited Reporting Features
User reviews for BDR Suite consistently highlight its ease of setup and configuration, particularly for simple customer environments. The platform's strong backup capabilities, including full encryption, are frequently praised. Customers also appreciate its comprehensive backup system, offsite storage options, and user-friendly dashboard. While the restore GUI could be improved, most users are satisfied with its functionality. Several reviewers mention excellent customer support, although some have experienced slow response times on occasion. The platform’s affordability and feature set, specifically its support for VMware VMs and Microsoft 365, are key selling points. Overall, BDR Suite is viewed as a reliable and cost-effective backup solution, especially for small businesses.

ease of use, and the support is always there to help if needed
there are so many options it can take a few trys to get to know the software
we have peace of mind that oyr data is safe and if needed we could get it
Easy to navigate interface. Setting up VM backups for disaster recovery is straightforward and works great. I receive image integrity reports showing the boot status of the backed up VMs and I can perform a manual test recovery in a few minutes. Just works for both my Hyper-V and VMware VMs and physical servers. Licensing options are reasonably priced - especially the small business less than 6 CPU licenses- allow annual subscriptions or one time purchases.
The only negative I have about the software is that the upgrade process can be a bit tedious and some random issues usually come up after a version upgrade.
Support is excellent-- At all hours I have submitted simple to complicated questions and I receive responses almost immediately and support assists until issue is resolved.
Needed a comprehensive backup solution for multiple VMs for both Hyper-V and VMware. Recovery a single file or folder --or recovering an entire VM; process is easy and straightforward. Image integrity checks have always been accurate to let me know I can count on our backups. Can be emailed if a backup fails- integrates with 3rd party monitoring software.
The user interface and console Cost effective
Support is not prompt they take lot of time to join
We are using BDR suite since 8 years and the quality which we get for the price is just awesome
Linux version available, great responsive support, no need to buy expensive appliances, VMWare backups as well, backup replication
big price raise end of 2022 :-/ cancellation of the Essentials licenses
peace of mind for us and our customers that their application VMs are safe and we have their back should the need arise
After switching from VEEAM, I found BDRSuite much easier to use and set up. The support team have been extremely helpful with any questions I've had.
I have not found any downsides as of yet, I did have a couple of set up issues which the support team resolved very quickly.
With previous backup software there used to be issues arising all the time, with BDRSuite this does not happen. I am confident the routinely scheduled backups will run correctly.
Easy to accomplish everything I need it to do
Some tasks are a little slower than I'd like but on pace with most other similar apps.
Secure, efficient virtual hardware/systems backups at reasonable pricing.
Vembu provides a simple interface, setup and quick deployment.
Also, Vembu supports multiple OS & platforms from a single console.
Missing image backup for Linux.
Postgresql DB backup missing.
Vembu manages centralized backup and disaster recovery for multiple OS and virtualization platforms seamlessly. Once setup, its peace of mind. Reports and notifications are good to have complete picture of backup on regular basis.
I'm still new with this product. I'm using VembuBDR on Ubuntu Linux (because Linux is free and I know Linux and Windows costs $$). So far, it does everything I need.
Have had to use support twice. In both times, the issue was resolved on the first try. That rates 5*
Learning curve is a little steep. Support is oriented toward VembuBDR on Windows. Some Windows -> Linux translation is required when reading KB articles. It would be nice if KB articles had both a Windows version and a Linux version.
Nightly back up of important VMs on my VMware vSphere environment. It is nice knowing that I can do either a full recovery or a file level recovery if / when I need it.

It is very quick to set up the backup, I use the cloud one for Microsoft 365 which backs up all of my emails and has the option to back up OneDrive too. The dashboard is very comprehensive and easy to use, I also get an email telling me whether the backup was successful of not.
It isn't a massive thing but it is a lilttle confusing when paying for more storage, twice I have added the credit to the wrong product but an email to the support team sorted it out within 24 hours.
Microsoft 365 doesn't have a backup product so it is important to backup emails separately. As a small business we needed a cost effective and simple solution to this problem.
