Backdrop has enabled us to consolidate and manage the materials that we send daily to our customers. With a number of products we support, there are endless spec sheets, white papers and video we need to get to customers both inside and outside of the sales process. With Backdrop we're able to do this right from within Outlook which is part of our existing workflow
The only qualm I can think of is that Backdrop tests to add features quickly which can sometimes be jarring. Its hard to say that is a dislike because we have used many of the new features, however knowing ahead of time would give us some notice to inform our users, thats all.
Invest in guided training - we tried to go it on our own and it was too dependent on our own remote staff
With Backdrop our users dont have to sift through our shared drive or get on the (inconsistent) VPN and then attach files to emails. Instead, we work entirely from within Outlook and skip 3-4 steps which for a newly traveling team is a huge advantage

Some companies firewall protection don't allow external links such as Backdrop. Makes it more difficult to track/gauge any of their responses

Backdrop offers many features that assist sales. With Backdrop you can be assured the customer receives the information you sent him / her even when they say they didn't receive it. You receive messages telling you when they open the doc(s) and for how long. Superior! Backdrop offers a library where docs are stored, so you don't have to hunt for them each time you start a campaign or allows you to include select docs with other communication you are sending your customer. When you have multiple users, this will enable you to have all users select from the same list of docs. We use Backdrop to send all quotes and associated documentation with each proposal. Backdrop lets you know when the information sent is forwarded to others in their organization for review or if they pass your information on to contacts outside their organization.
The one and only dislike I have is finding enough time in my day to fully utilize all the features Backdrop offers in my hectic day. Don't get me wrong. Backdrop is easy to use and learn it's not a challenge to use if you use computer programs at all, I am simply trying to fit 20 lbs into a 2 lbs bag.

I now know when the customer has opened my email and how much time they spent reviewing the information included in the communication. Knowing this lets me schedule a time with the customer to review all the information sent to them.
It helps to coordinate follow ups after information has been received and viewed.
Certain customers aren't able to open links so the email needs to be resent using pdfs.

It's hard to accurately guess when to contact clients that take months to decide. Backdrop helps by letting me know they are reviewing information in the moment allowing me to contact them while it's fresh on their mind.
Backdrop makes sending attachments easy. It is one click for the customer, and all attachments are connected.
Having multiple users using one backdrop is hard to keep up with the collections. Maybe offering standardized collections would be easier.
I have just started using it. Currently I have been able to notice when people do not open my link, which makes it easier when following up.
Easy to use, great way to present more than just your bid but a full portrait of your company as a way to always remind your customer of who you are and what you can do.
Trial period usage did not give us the full benefits of Backdrop due to limited features during this time. It's like wanting to buy a sport car but only allowing the user to drive a yugo.

Backdrop adds features pretty often but sometimes this means moving a feature I’ve become used to and I need to find it again
