Azure Mobile Apps Reviews

It is integrated with the Microsoft Suite of products. I use Azure Mobile Apps to host my mobile application that connects with a Microsoft SQL Server Database also hosted in Azure while my other files are hosted in Microsoft Azure Blob storage. There is a portal that allows you to create tables via node.js. And there is a way to use OAUTH to have your users login into your app via FB, Google, Twitter, etc.

There is extensive documentation available in the internet managed by Microsoft professionals. Since this is a Microsoft product you know that it is managed by a stable company and it is not going away anytime soon.

In addition, it's a PAAS solution. So things such as reliability, scalability, and security are handled by Microsoft

Some documentations in the internet available are not up to date. I have posted questions many times on some of their documents that have code which are already deprecated.

Also, it is not very easy to find answers to questions especially if you need to do something very complex. The service comes with a price so you would need to pay for the DB, the App service and storage and other features you would need to run your app.

if you are familiar with Microsoft and .Net this is definitely your first choice

We can create by self and managing according to us. Azure Mobile Apps also providing private and Public permission which is good for security purpose. we can create IOS, Android and Windows Application in one system.

Its easy to use and can be maintained well. The architecture and user experience is pretty understanding.

Sometimes the system gets hanged and once my app got deleted. Other than that no issues.

Sometimes the interface can be difficult to navigate. I find myself going in circles to find the correct blade for the information I am looking for.

I had the opportunity to use this platform a couple of times and I found it very useful because it helps to create different types of apps for the automation of certain processes which normally take a lot of time, the creation of the applications is not exactly easy but with a team that has the necessary knowledge to create it will result in a very good time improvement.

As I said before the interface is not the most friendly for people who for the first time are getting into the world of creating applications, but after having practice in the subject is quite useful.

It helped us to generate applications for daily use for the entry of information on dispatches and pending contracts.

We can develop cross site apps with in short time of periode, controlling and deploying the apps is very easy. Finally it provides great user experience.

The best thing is integration with Azure and Microsoft suit services. We can use many ready to available solutions already present to leverage our mobile development. we can easily set up automated workflows and can view all of them in mobile device.

There is nothing much to dislike mostly. But the pricing is more compared to other services in market. Even other ones are also being competetive and giving good solutions.

The azure mobile apps provide real time data analatics of our applications continuously and we can monitor from our mobile device too. Which is a great time saver for me when not in office working hours
