The ability to record keep, the ability to manage patients properly

I like everything about axium except for the fact that users logged in sometimes lags

Great success

It is very customizable to your needs and easy to educate others on the software program. Also, it links easily to third party imaging software. That way the students do not have to worry about going back to the desk top to find the icon to go into the orthodontics section. Also, the icons are very relatable to the sections they are describing. Sometimes, the icons are not that way.

It can clog the computer and run slower than what you would like sometimes. That can cause irritation especially when you are in the process of patient care. I do not like where it will not let you navigate two screens at one time. You have to close one screen before being able to navigate another. Sometimes I need to have both screens up in the program at once.

AxiUm is great for a dental educational facility. It has tools to teach students how to document, make modifications, and prepare them for private practice. It is easy to customize and teach to others. However, I do not think I would recommend for private practice due to the multiple books and high volume capacity it is set up for.

It is helping create an electronic system for records instead of using paper charts. It increases communication between the different departments. It is more of a reliable resource that is easily accessible from remote locations due to running via internet connection. So I am able to remote in to AxiUm from home if needed to work because of having internet. It also allows the students to be able to do their treatment plans from remote locations, like the library or the study rooms, instead of in the clinics.

The support provided by axiUm is excellent! The turnaround time on tickets is typically very good. The program itself is definitely the best for dental schools.

It does require a lot of training for users

The reporting in axiUm is very good. The data is easy to report on for both research and day to day operations. Having CDAnet has been very beneficial to our patients as we can now offer direct billing.

Axium is hard to use at first but becomes second nature over time

It’s not intuitive how to use it and it’s hard to learn

Easy to schedule, check the schedule, add procedure notes and insurance codes, and prepare treatment plans

Takes long time to load, sometimes crashes due to updates

Takes some training, but can be really easy to record the procedures and allows deletion of wrong entry

Submitting insurance claims, keeping records and documentation of all dental patients

Axium is a pretty good dental practice management system where user can do charting, scheduling, treatment planning, and EHR on the computer vs. charting on folders. I like how everything you do has your name tied to it so at least we know who is responsible for doing what changes and what not. I like how you can easily message anybody who is a student, faculty, staff, and etc as well which is very convenient .

It's not the most easiest user friendly program to use. Lots of things to press just to do one change. I feel like it is a bit outdated & there are always issues with axium esp after updates with the program. Constantly freezing & not working when you are in the middle of something with the software. Not for outside of school use that is for sure.

Very practical for scheduling for 100+ students definitely help with ease for a school setting.

The private messaging platform is the best feature.

The X-ray application takes a while to load.

Axium Dental helps to organize patients charts including what they owe.
