It’s certainly one of the best known and respected, however. The main interface consists of three windows which let you enter data, view your model and work in detail.

The basic window features have an easy to understand format and work well with the interface.

Most of the basic settings are available through the right-hand button menus on the interface and the basic controls are easy to use. In many ways it is similar to photoshop in that there is an extensive array of control options, though some are quite more accessible in 3ds max than photoshop.

It’s important to understand that not all 3d max features are available all the time – only those which are enabled are active. Many of the features of the software are disabled when not in use so while you can create complex models in max you can’t actually use the model. You can still have the model – just not use it. Models are often referred to as meshes. There are different types of mesh. To create a standard box you will need a surface mesh and you will also need at least three vertices – three dots – on the box for the front face, and on each of the four sides.

3ds max is the industry standard for 3d modeling it is not the most user-friendly software.

If you are a newcomer to 3d max then it can be a bit of a challenge but once you know the interface you can move around the software quickly and easily.

It is a big software that requires a PC with robust processing capabilities. It also could use a better free flowing form component . Also, it lags when in shading viewport.

I love it’s rendering quality for models. It has a wide range of materials and model looks very realistic compared to other softwares.

Finding a good 3d modeling software was a challenge but 3ds solved it.

There is no such point about disliking Autodesk. But one feedback is to be more user friendly. The new version are becoming tough to use than the previous ones

As being from structure field , sometimes steel details becomes tough to visualise and present Autodesk version helps me the best in that. It helps to visualise and present in the most efficient manner.

It can do a lot of modelling tasks quickly and easily. Especially using boolean functions to cut/add objects. Modelling complex NURBS surfaces is very easy in 3DS Max.

It is very complicated software with a vast set of tools and takes a long time to master for anyone who is trying to earn a living from this tool. But it is simply the best.

As a Unity developer, i have to create many models in my game so 3ds Max helps me to design my models, the best part of it produces a good render image of model . with a very high resolution and good pixels models, the animation provides by the software are greater, the softness the curves of the model is same as real world

Its size is too large and due to this sometimes it lacks my screen which creates problem in making my models for my games.
