Autocloud give me the ability to see all of my cloud assets across multiple CSPs, in a "single pane of glass" view. I can also ensure that my assets and their configurations meet industry standards, ensuring a safe infrastructure.
It would be nice if Autocloud had drag-n-drop creation of infrastructure however, the Terraform creation functionality provides a stop gap.
Autocloud allows me to deploy my infrastructure faster and securely, eliminating possible rework, speeding time to market.
AutoCloud hooked into our AWS environments and showed us all the resources we had running. We were able to find several over-provisioned resources and orphaned ec2 instances and fix several high-priority security issues. All of the resources were able to be captured with IaC (we did not use IaC when originally building our envirioments) and now everything has proper security, compliance, and governance controls.
It would be nice if AutoCloud was able to create CloudFormation templages, right now it just work for Terraform, which is fine, but we would like the ability to use CF as well
AutoCloud is helping to ensure our environments are:
Secure
Compliant
Cost-Optimized
Up-to-Date
On-Time
Scalable
And that we are using IaC for 100% of our cloud resources
AutoCloud helps us build, manage, and operate over 100 cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP in order to have a complete understanding of compliance, security, and billing.
It would be nice if they had a way to unify policy as code, so we didn't have to write Checkov policies and then write the same policies again in JSON. Right now this is a little bit of a manual effort.
AutoCloud is helping us to capture all of our resources in Terraform, create repeatable Terraform deployable patterns where we can centrally manage governance and compliance across different teams, and then have complete visibility for our "day 2" cloud operations. It's saved us countless hours of work.
I work in consulting and I absolutely love the ability to quickly understand what is running in a client's environment. We can easily capture state, understand security posture, and then capture anything that is not currently in Terraform. AutoCloud has saved me countless hours of grunt work
It would be helpful if they had better state source integration (i.e. TFC/TFE). Also, I would like the ability to export the diagrams it generates so I can put them into Draw.io
AutoCloud is basically CloudOps in a box. I can understand everything I need to about a given cloud environment 10x faster than previously possible, and it's writing Terraform code for me - code that I know is secure and compliant.
The team at AutoCloud has built a fantastic product. Their solution is a must-have for any size organization. The automatic code generation for cloud services, visual environment documentation, reverse terraform generation and cloud billing visibility have provided invaluable insights into our cloud environments
While you can write your plugin and providers for other cloud, it only supports AWS, Azure, and GCP. We have a project on Ali Cloud, and AutoCloud now does not offer support for that platform
AutoCloud can give us visibility into our entire AWS infrastructure. This allows us to understand our cloud environment from a different vantage than we were able to previously.
AutoCloud has been a great resource in helping us understand our cloud footprint and how we can better implement our cloud strategy from a compliance and cost perspective. The visual diagrams have been useful in onboarding new developers to our accounts.
No complaints as of now. I'm pleased with our use of the product.
-easing on-boarding of new developers
-visualizing cloud use
AutoCloud has a compelling value prop - helps you evaluate cloud resource usage and visualize our AWS accounts. Our Devops team really likes the terraform generation features.
The product is pretty new, so I'd love to see more integration points with AWS, but I imagine such things are in the works. The team is responsive to our needs so far.
Like many organizations, we have cloud service bloat and are attempting to rein it in with the macroeconomic situation (2022Q4). AutoCloud is the kind of SaaS tool that's easy to get through procurement and has wins for both our developers and business constituents.
It ingests your cloud environments, shines a spotlight on them, and let’s you know exactly where you stand in regards to billing, compliance, blast radius, and drift.
It reverse Terraforms your environments and you can turn these TF files into template that you can share with your entire organization for consistent governance and compliance.
I wish it had a drag and drop builder, and right now you can’t view multi-cloud workloads in the same diagram.
I would recommend this tool to any cloud professionals looking to save time and money going to cloud.
The ability to visually see in 3D all our custom built Azure services and without Autocloud I wouldn't have known of some severe security gaps within our Dev Ops landing zone.
Not readily knowing all its capabilities and functionality
After deploying some of our first custom built Azure services we brought up Autocloud's dashboard and it immediately pointed out some severe security issues which thankfully were resolved immediately.

As a site reliability engineer (SRE), I must check if what's running on my cloud environment is the same as documented through declarative infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform. We often deploy many templates to build new development, test, and production environments with specific parametrization and properties. Sometimes we need to use more than a single hyperscaler (cloud service provider) to use the best each can offer. Controlling and managing many templates and their equivalent built environments becomes challenging. Keeping those environments constantly compliant with regulations and security policies is even more complicated. AutoCloud helps SREs by providing a single pane of glass to all managed IaC environments running on multiple cloud providers. AutoCloud can do snapshots so administrators can check what changes occasionally.
Moreover, AutoCloud matches the built environment against many regulations and security policies, including PCM and CIS benchmarks. Recently they are releasing reverse Terraform scripting, which generates IaC templates based on what is currently running on a cloud tenant. That way, you can back up all definitions of the infrastructure created in a cloud environment.
There's nothing I dislike about AutoCloud, but I'd suggest having a whole environment backup and restoring super functionalities. Of course, you would need to restore an entire environment on a new cloud service account to avoid damaging overrides. Also, have a way to integrate with the configuration layers by allowing the inspection of what is running inside a Kubernetes cluster within the AutoCloud console.
