Arcadia is an innovative product that makes it easier to get value from our big data environment.

What do you like best about Arcadia Enterprise?

The thing I've appreciated the most out of Arcadia is the speed at which you can create dashboards against huge datasets. Doing this in traditional BI tools simply isn't possible.

What do you dislike about Arcadia Enterprise?

The company is new and occasionally you will encounter some bugs in the software. Their support team is extremely responsive and the pros of the product far outweigh this one con.

Recommendations to others considering Arcadia Enterprise?

I would say, try it out if you are skeptical. I think any organization would be hard pressed to say Arcadia isn't a huge improvement over traditional BI tools when it comes to working within a big data environment.

What problems is Arcadia Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a toolset that was easy to use and allowed our power analysts a way to profile giant datasets(5B plus rows) and create visualizations based on the insights they garnered. Arcadia has made this a reality.

Very easy to use, but with "baby-issues"

The drag and drop feature, that the data is up to date automatically.

That it is not working 100%, small issues

Working with reporting, very handy tool with that is up to date and easy to use.

Effective big data BI tool

What do you like best about Arcadia Enterprise?

That it is web based, Hadoop native, and provides loads of native visualizations to work with. I also really enjoy the support and customer driven changes made to the product in new releases.

What do you dislike about Arcadia Enterprise?

The inability to self-order dimensions and some inflexibility with customization of the visual out of the box (I know custom styling is available)

What problems is Arcadia Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

Multiple healthcare oriented problems for various customers including CMS, CDC and Hospitals. I'm able to answer questions quickly and use the drill down capabilities for dynamic and interactive views.

Tool Review

What do you like best about Arcadia Enterprise?

The interface is pretty good and easy to understand. I have used Tableau before and I can say that compared to Tableau I felt it very easy to get around Arcadia in terms of data connection and making visuals.

What do you dislike about Arcadia Enterprise?

Some default settings that are pretty common in other tools like Filters, Side Bars that you can't extend to see the workspace name fully, the dataset default not working. Hard to understand sometime what the errors are and also after two minutes you have to refresh the page constantly to save your changes.

What problems is Arcadia Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are still resolving business problems with downloads, filters not sticking to what is being selected. Benefits are that users can create their own copies and work around the visuals that they want.

We like best the scheduled mail reporting.

What do you dislike about Arcadia Enterprise?

We dislike the "Arcadia" (arcengines) connection and how it is managed in Cloudera Manager.

What problems is Arcadia Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main business problems resolved is non technical users can develop reports and dashboards without any help of BI Team.

Great Visualisation inside the Cloudera Cluster

What do you like best about Arcadia Enterprise?

For us the main advantage of using Arcadia against other visualisation tools is the fact that it is deployed inside the Cloudera cluster, avoiding new servers and more maintenance efforts

What do you dislike about Arcadia Enterprise?

The web interface is good, but sometimes when you are creating complex visualisations it still have some bugs or minor errors that drive you crazy from time to time

What problems is Arcadia Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Arcadia to study the data coming from the financial entities that we connect daily to get our customers financial activity. We connect daily to 82 different financial entities and we retrieve over a million movements, ensuring the quality of the data received is key for us and Arcadia is helping us a lot on it.

Evolving tool for enterprise BI

Short learning curve and native connectivity to Hadoop.
