Apptentive has helped to give us real insights in the behaviour of our app users. Its been key in gathering feedback from surveys to improve functionality and offer help to customers.
Can't think of any! Of course there will be more features in time but what they offer at the moment does the job and does it well.
This tool will make gathering feedback and insights from App users so much easier. You could also use it to send timely messages to App users. Go for it, you wont regret it.

Apptentive is so intuitive and easy to use. Having a little pop-up in our app makes it super easy for a member to give us feedback on the app. I've never seen anything else like this solution.

The UI is easy to navigate and learn. Once we rolled out our first survey, we saw an immediate and very positive impact on our app ratings.
Nothing major to dislike. There are a few small limitations when it comes to building surveys as far as formatting and cloning.
We were hoping to increase engagement for user insights, increase review submissions and improve our app ratings. We have accomplished all of that in a very short time and look forwards to creating more surveys.
I liked Apptentive because we used it to survey respondents for apps (we used Qualtrics for web-based surveys). What was great about Apptentive is that we could have a control/exposed methodology and could save large amounts of money versus going to a Kantar Millward Brown, Ipsos or Lucid. And once the SDK is implemented, it is relatively easy to get your survey coded up and flighted.
Nothing - they make their platform easy to use. You just have to make sure you implement the SDK properly so that it can collect results within your app environment.
Just make sure that you are aware that you have to implement an SDK for this solution to work.
We use Apptentive to survey users in our apps on their user experience, but we also leverage it for ad sales research by using the functionality to do control/exposed surveying (which is highly cost-effective). In the local space, since scale is a bit limited on a market level basis, Apptentive allows us to survey consumers and ask questions on whether or not they saw branded content in our app environment.
I like sending my users surveys to understand what they like and don't like about my app. I also can send notes to give users a special message and allow them to send feedback at their will using Message Center. Finally, their customer support team is awesome and very quick to respond if I have any questions or want to jump on a quick call with them.
Apptentive is a great tool. The only thing I wish I could do is to understand how many users would receive my message before I send it out based on my specific targeting.
Apptetnive allows me to understand if users are having issues with my app and what they like about it. It lets me interact with them at the correct times and helps increase our app ratings.

The set up was a bit hard for our team I did not expect the learning curve to be so long

We had some issues with the Android version, where it did not always display a prompt for feedback.
