Appriver has been a "god-sent" to help us manage the shear number of phishing emails and junk mail that comes through our organizations. They allow users to whitelist any good emails they might want to release.

AppRiver at times can be hard to setup in order to allow the mail to flow via MX records and such. After we moved to AppRiver, our emails started to get flagged as unknown via other companies security solutions.

We were overwhelmed with a number of emails being flagged as junk, phishing, and malware. We did have the resources to spend hours everyday shifting through emails.

Control and Support ease of use is the my favorite part.. No one wants to spend a lot of time attempting to setup or maintain compliance, this is a one shot unit- Sign up, point your MX records- and the defaults are pretty darn good- enhance it more with personal weights on filtering with malware, spam, phishing and it's even better. I have to hardly get on to make adjustments

Hit or Miss, sometimes a little spam comes through- I wish Appriver had one some sort of end-user training tutorial packaged within, to send a fake phish, and send them to the link for compliance training, others have started to do this.

If simplicity and ease of use is necessary: Take a look at Appriver. They do have a decent sales staff and a very reasonable support staff.

Phishing, Spam, and Malware attempts via Email transactions, especially since our Mail Server is a legacy unit- and not O365. Their solution is one of few cloud-based units still supporting legacy mail systems.

I love that the interface is pretty easy to navigate, and the appearance is nice. I have always found the customer service team to be very helpful and prompt. The email continuity feature has been a life saver when our in house mail server has any issues.

I would really like if the quarantine was easier to search and manage. I also would like to be able to preview emails before releasing them, almost like a test bench environment like barracuda has.

Email continuity, blocking emails based on attachments. I like that users are notified when an email is blocked and they can request it to be released.

The customer service is the best; there is no automated attendant on the calls. The products are also excellent, and the associates know its business backwards and forwards. The associates always seem to be pleased you are calling – they are ready and willing to help. You cannot call Microsoft anymore, but you can always reach AppRiver.

I do not have any particular dislikes. I have found that my expectations have been exceeded.

We were receiving a ton of email spam and malware

The ease of use is nice. Super easy to implement and sync users with AD.

The cost. Its pricey for our organization.

Their services WORK & we've never had even one hiccup! When i've called customer/partner support, service reps are extremely helpful and glad to provide support to me! Flexible billing options, too.

Who wouldn't like even bigger partner discounts?? But as is, they have the best pricing we've found.

AppRiver does a great job of blocking spam from ever hitting our mail server. It currently blocks about 84% of the messages that we receive, as they are junk.

The friendly interface and the automatic reports sent to users are both wonderful.

I don’t like the fact that some countries that have been specifically blocked still show up in the quarantine.

We have cut out a lot of spam, as almost 90% of our messages are now being blocked due to the fact that they are junk.

Appriver is used to secure emails and protect client's information

Is is easy to use and easy for clients to view their emails. It also allows us to view when the clients have viewed the email.

Sometimes the Outlook add on will stop responding when attempting to send an email.

Appriver is an easy to use service. I highly recommend it.

We were able to solve the issue of securing clients information, and were able to easily walk them through the process of viewing their emails. Clients feel more confident sharing information by email.

Has a very good user interface. A good middle of road SPAM filter.

Cannot sandbox suspicious emails. Cannot send a suspicious email over to IT to review, it's either release or not.

Good solid product. There are other more expensive options that offer more, but you pay more.

The obvious is filtering emails for SPAM and Malware. They also now offer link protection.
