The intuitive nature of the platform. If you're familiar with video editing/motion graphic software you should be able to learn it.
File management and adjustments. If you want to change the dimensions of a project you cannot simply adjust the project, you have to start a new one from scratch.
Try it, you might just love it!
How to make high quality playable ads fast!
I love the interface of Studio and how straight forward it is to create complicated playables. As a Motion Graphic Artist, I don't usually have to think about coding, but with AOB, I feel confident about turning my artwork into interactive experiences.
I don't dislike anything about AOB. There are some suggestions about the tool that I have suggested to the team, but generally everything runs very smoothly. I think it would be good moving forward to have less size limitations for the publishing of playables on ironSource and Facebook. 2 MB is very small to make a playable with a lot of video content, without decreasing the quality of the videos. That is something I definitely struggled with.
I AOB is perfectly templatized and easy to use for people who don't have any experience coding. I would recommend having design experience, but the interface is easy to use to create new playables that look high quality.
I've never been able to make a playable before because I didn't know how to. It's very beneficial to my work to be able to make a playable with my own assets without relying on an outside agency to make one.
I love the new tech. It's very exciting to see new technology that helps you export to so many different outputs, making it easy to create HTML content! The idea that you can use this to easily A/B test for new features in existing games is exciting.
There are areas where studio can use improvement in refining existing features. There are also minor features that would help use experience overall(drag&drop), like a stronger compression for files that are exported without losing too much of the quality.
You have to put in time to learn about the features, but once you learn the ropes you'll find that it's very easy to use. Remember to prepare your assets as best as you can outside studio, and think of Studio as the glue that stitches your work together, rather than a program where you complete your work.
We're able to iterate small changes easily on playables that should help us in our data. I haven't personally seen any data supporting this yet, but that could definitely lead into helping us solve problems or realizing what market we're appealing to for example. If we iterate 5 different messages for the same game, we could see what demographic we should be targeting more for example.
The interface is very easy to understand and when things are not clear, it is easy to play around with the controls to get what you want. I think this is a good method of learning the product. I like that I can view the playable and interact with it on my phone after creating it.
The biggest down side might not have much to do with the Studio but more so with the companies the playables are posted on - It is very frustrating to downsize your files to fit the file limitations needed for Apple/Google, etc. I find it difficult to get my files to the correct size for uploading.
Make many playables once you start learning so that you can pick up the program easier. It is easy to forget all the controls after only making one playable.
It is great to see my work as a html file. There is definitely a lack of users who struggle with coding, and Studio makes it easy because the coding is done for you.

AppOnboard Studio is very user friendly and easy to use. The support team is also very helpful.
Exporting can be a little troublesome sometimes.
Use this software for an easy way to make playable and interactive ads, as well as instant apps. It's super easy to use and the features make it very user friendly.
I've created playables really easily and have been able to export to multiple different platforms. I like that it constantly updates for the better. The team is very responsive.
That studio brings the power of playables to anyone with some basic technical knowledge and the desire to engage with users in a fun way. It's often difficult to showcase UI in an advertisement, but this brings the experience right to the viewer. The Studio program itself is being constantly updated to add intuitive steps to the workflow and the explainer tutorials can help in any situation so you can really create anything that you can imagine.
I think for designers it would be nice to have the playable construction based on a node workflow type interface. The current building method is based on dropdown menus and the vocabulary can make me take pause. With a visual node design you could incorporate connecting arrows from one video clip to the next and feel confident that you incorporating elements correctly and are using your time efficiently.
Have a grasp on Adobe After Effects to create all your clips to be put into Studio.
Showing the viewer how engaging our storytelling is. We can incorporate the interactivity of our stories like choose-your-own-adventure in ways we could not do with any other advertisement.
The most helpful thing about AppOnboard Studio is how simple and easy it is to make playables. It removes the confusion, the headaches, and the coding for us designers. I am able to create simple and yet very engaging creatives that can connect to many new users.
Some of the dislikes are very nitpicky for someone like me who has been using Adobe products for years. Such as not being able to move the windows the way I like it to make my workflow easier and quicker. A good part of my issues is mainly workflow related and UI related. However, the AppOnBoard team has been listening to suggestions I have given to them and are always updating their program.
Talk to the AppOnBoard team if you have any questions or would like to learn. They are extremely quick and helpful when it comes to helping with any needs you have.
As someone who has never made a playable ad creative at all but has seen them in the wild. A lot of the questions of where do I start or how do I even create a playable that I've seen have been eliminated thanks to AppOnBoard Studio. I can focus on the storyboard on what I want my creatives to be and put it all together without needing to worry about the coding side of things.

I really like how intuitive and user friendly AppOnboard Studio is. The visual node design makes it incredibly easy to connect elements and ensure a workflow. I also commend the team for being responsive to suggestions and updates.
While AppOnboard Studio is user friendly it does require some design experience to create high quality playables. Additionally it would be helpful if there were built in templates available as creating playables from scratch can be time consuming.
AppOnboard Studio addresses the challenge of creating prototypes and demos for our apps without the need, for coding. This saves us time and resources enabling us to iterate and test out ideas.
