Akeneo PIM is really easy to use, user interface is clear.

I dislike the rules section the most. It has a lot of impact on the speed of jobs. You also can't track which products are impacted by the excecution of a rule. You can only see the number of impacted products.

Product Data Enrichment: Akeneo provides tools for enriching product data with images, descriptions, translations, and other attributes, which is crucial for presenting products effectively online.

User access and permission complexities: Complexities in setting up permissions and access exist when the instance is being used by 2 or more channels.

Arabic language is not supported: This is a must having market in middle east :)

Limited Reporting: While Akeneo provides basic reporting capabilities, it may not be as robust as dedicated business intelligence tools. It needs to be integrated with other reporting tools for in-depth analytics.

Catalog management for different channels.

How much it cuts down our time to market. It would take us an entire month to enrich and onboard a season and now we can manage everything in less than a week.

There is nothing big that I don't like, maybe only the fact that we can't work in a team structure. It would be good if tasks could be divided out between team members and we could work simultaneously.

We used to do our seasonal onboarding completely manually, which took a lot of time and caused many errors. Now our enrichment/onboarding time is much quicker and we have significantly less errors.

The API and seamless connectivity between Akeneo and 3rd part applications.

The Timed exports and imports is a massive benefit for those using Serenity

Asset Management and the ability to use Akeneo as a DAM and link to images from within the Asset Library.

We now have a Single source of truth and can manage our Products with ease and visibility. Empowering our customers with correct and up to date information

It's completeness and flexibility. You can use it out-of-the-box or customise it to your needs.

It can be quite challenging to understand the links between Families, Categories, Attributes and Channels. You really need to sit down and thouroughly think about your organisation's architecture.

It helps us reduce our Time-to-Market by centralizing all data and make sure that cross-functional teams use the same materials.

Nearly everything is configurable to meet our needs.

Things that cannot be managed in the system can be managed via APIs e.g. in the integration layer.

I am very satisfied with the Akeneo software. My development proposals hab been taken into account in the development of the software, which is why I can't come up with anything for this. :)

Our previous PIM-system (20 years old) was completely tailor made for our organisation.

During renewing our system using Akeneo we have been able to automatize very much our daily tasks.

Akeneo has a great, logical framework that has enough flexibility combined with data governance that works great for our business as a retailer. It's helped us drive efficiency in data management processes. Highly recommend.

Like all systems, it has its quirks. I would like to see their image/asset linking process improved, and increase filter options on asset families. I'd also like to be able to include more attributes with association types or associated SKUs/models.

Akeneo has driven improved data governance which benefits us with consistency in values and improves the quality of filters on our websites.

It also helped us create more efficient processes for loading new and updated product data. This saves hours and lets us reinvest that time in enhancing the data.

Akeneo has also helped us reduce time to train new team members, by making processes easier and more efficient.

The speed is unbeatable. Cloud hosted akeneo somehow runs faster than our local database systems. The application is stable, and issues are extremely rare. When I have had an issue, technical support resolved it quickly. All my required features are present.

Very minor complaints: I would like a search function in category setup, we have an extensive hierarchy. I would like to be able to add all attributes in an attribute group to an export profile at once instead of one at a time. We have hundreds of attributes.

Akeneo provides a single source of truth for product data and integrates with our other applications via API. It allows multiple coworkers to collaborate on data projects.

Akeneo is the platform that has helped us keep our product catalog updated in one place, with the right availability at the time we need it.

There are few disadvantages that we have with Akeneo, one of them is that we cannot handle updating articles with more than 100 through the APIs that we have for this purpose.

In Librerías Gandhi , Akeneo has helped us update our catalog of articles and keep the related information available through our APIS towards our ERP, all this fed by different suppliers.

Akeneo is a platform that can integrate easily with almost every eCommerce Platform without minimum code customization.

Sometimes it is getting little complicated when need to do any catalog attribute-related customization. ie. Modify values when it goes to any third party.

With Akeneo, we will have now only one source of truth of all catalog.
