Our PM teams have quickly configured and rolled out Aha! without big trainings. It's very intuitive to use, has great configuration options and customer support is extremely fast and helpful. We integrated Aha! with various JIRA instances which was really easy.
The teams were able to implement their processes in Aha! and really like it so I can't say anything bad about Aha.
Consistently track the process from customer submitting an idea to the implementation of a feature in the product. In addition, share and discuss product roadmaps.
Many customizable options with existing features and setups make a lot of sense for product teams. Great and timely customer support.
Sometimes things can get too complex or unclear with all the features available. Some pricing options (like the different tiers of ideas portal) can be a bit confusing - why some are not included in the roadmap package and are we really missing out on something useful or not?
High-level strategic roadmapping and OKR/initiative/idea management platform
I love the integration with my existing JIRA project. This has made it effortless to be able to show the business the status of the work we are doing without me needing to cut and paste from JIRA into spreadsheets! It even keeps the status of each user story up to date automatically!
Integrations from Aha! to JIRA took a little work to get set up correctly, but they work great once they're in place!
Aha! enables me to have a view for my business users that accurately reflects the status of what my development team is working on, without me having to do extra work! I use the wonderful prioritization view to review with my business users and ensure that we're working on the right stuff. I constantly refer to the prioritization view when I am preplanning my sprint backlog - to ensure that individual user stories are in the correct priority order. Having the ability to tie the individual epics to initiatives help me stay focused on what matters! I'm able to manage the backlog for my team and keep the business updated in half the time!
The best thing about Aha! is being able to create dynamic roadmaps that stay up to date in real-time and share them with executives. It's very easy to create great reports with stunning visuals and incorporate them into presentations. Also, the integrations with Jira and Confluence are very useful!
Aha! is like any other system where its garbge in, garbage out, so you need to make sure you're setting up your workspace correctly, and this is where Aha! Academy comes in. Definitely take the course and understand the basics so that you can set up everything correctly or else you wont get the output you need.
I need to keep the executive team informed about what my plan is for my developer team and how I'm organizing customer requests as well, and it's great for that!
Aha! enables Product Management professionals to easily gather feedback, formulate goals and strategic initiatives and tie that all back to structured solution requirements. It empowers product teams to organize and govern all of the things required for products to be successful.
Other considerations:
- Customer support is top notch
- Implementation is completely within your control as the tool is highly customizable and flexible. This can work against you if you don't have experience with the tool so it's best to resist the temptation to over configure the product and refine after use.
- Integrations with SSO, engineering and support tools are easy to configure and support
The downside of Aha! is that not all features and functions are included in the base price. I understand the pricing model but am not a fan of paying for individual features or add ons when the monthly cost is already not cheap. I just want to pay one (low) rate and get it all.
How to take in and respond to feedback from customers and stakeholders.
How to prioritize what to do
How to establish committments
How to govern product operations controlled processes
I love the integrations that Aha! offers. We have succesfully implemented Salesforce and Jira integrations that are very useful to our sales and development teams. Our roadmaps look phenominal and the support that Aha! provides is above and beyond.
There are a few improvements I would like in the tool but Aha! is very good at priorizing customer requested features.
Collecting product feedback, consistant roadmap, product development tracking.
Most tools force you to adpat to them. Aha is quite the opposite, it adapts to your organizational needs and processes. The fact that it integrates with Jira and ADO makes it an indispensable tool for product managers. For executives who want to see the big picture, one can generate canned reports or tailor it to fit needs. It is a one-stop-shop. Its ease of use is a differentiator, you can get a birds eye view of all the products in your portfolio at a glance or dive deep to a specific one. And, last but not the least, they have a stellar support team, who are there every step of the way to make you successful.
Setting views and accessing Feature Prioritization lists can be easier and simpler.
Planning, roadmapping large product portfolio
Great visuals, ability to have data in fields, and versatility
Configuration is not very intuitive, navigating takes a little bit of time.
Organizing and visualizing product delivery and development. Also helps with creating roadmaps, and doing data analysis.
In my opinion Aha! offers the most comprehensive solution of its kind. From strategy to intake to roadmaps, Aha! offers advanced capabilities which makes the product manager's job much easier (and isn't that what we all want?)
While the JIRA integration is rich, I do feel the JIRA support, particularly around sprints, could be improved a bit. Specifically, I'd love to be able to get more sprint date information into Aha! for reporting purposes.
Serves a very key role in terms of intake, as well as, sharing out data to other stakeholders for alignment.

Aha! provides a structure to the product management and future roadmap.
Single user may work across multiple workspaces managing a multiple products.
Using Aha! through the web page. It could be good to access with the specific application(app).
It would be good to have an option to change the text color of the row in the reports/templates while using the theme 'Custom'.
It would be good to link multiple Aha! records to a single Jira record rather than 1:1. And good to see if there are any 2 different features records in Aha! updating each other.
