VFX and motion graphics software
Adobe After Effects is widely praised for its powerful features and versatility, enabling users to create stunning visual effects and animations. Its seamless integration with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Photoshop and Premiere Pro is highly appreciated. However, users frequently mention the steep learning curve, which can be intimidating for beginners. The software is also known to be resource-intensive, requiring powerful hardware for optimal performance. While the subscription model is a point of contention for some, many users highlight the value and affordability of the software, considering its extensive capabilities.

The best thing about adobe creative cloud is the itegration of different products that offers a wide range of features and functionality for professionals. It can also be easily used by beginners for photo editing, graphic design and illustrator. It is easy to implent in any new project. It has rich customer support.
It has subscription based pricing model, which should be but it once model. It feels like a constant drain with respect to pricing. The learning curve takes significant time and dedication which could be discouraging for beginners.
Multiple teams are working on single project as it is cloud based service. It is helping in autimation of repititive tasks like image resizing or formating. It has centralized asset management where we can get logos, fonts and templated which helps to not spend much time in searching for plugins or tools.
Adobe After Effects is so user friendly and intuative that I was able to teach myself to do professional quality video editing.
The only thing I dislike about Adobe After Effects is the export journey through adobe media encoder which can sometimes be really slow.
Adobe Above Effects helps me to create short form digital content for social media and email channels in my marketing role. It's the only program that allows for a wide range of editing options for short form content.
I really like this editing software for stunning visual effects integration, it is ease of you once you get grip onto it. As for me I use After Effects for editing reels and adding various animation effects and transitions. It as excellent user interface.
It requires learning, for a beginner it might be tough at starting.
and It requires expensive Adobe CC subscription.
This software benifts me in many ways, applying transitions and various animation effects. It has vast array of built-in tools and presets that allows me to create sophisticated animations and graphics. making highly attractive content reels has become easy for me over the time.
It's such a powerful tool. There's very little that can't be visually accomplished in any video or animation.
There's a learning curve, no doubt. And your computer better be able to handle it! But it's worth it for the amazing tools at your disposal.
It helps me take my videos to the proverbial next level. Dynamic titles and effects can go a long way to make content stand out, which is always the goal.
I love how intergrated After Effects is to other Adobe Applications – for example Dynamic Link with Premiere Pro for linking after effects projects without rendering.
Many aspects of the user interface haven't really changed for about 20 years, and are little tricky to use or require code – i.e. looping a nested timeline.
Creating marketing and product how-to videos
I really like how granular you can get with animations and motion graphics. There doesn't seem to be anything that I want to adjust in a composition that can't be adjusted- from speed ramping and color shifting to particle emission controllers it's all in AE.
I wish it were possible to split a video track without it creating a new track for the split section. The track window can start getting unwieldy- although it is easy to hide tracks that you are done with.
As a motion designer/animator/video producer I need something I can complete a wide variety of tasks with and AE offers me everything I need- and if there is something that is beyond my own technical ability there always seems to be a good plug-in and I handle it.

I've been using After Effects for over 5 years now, I have a Youtube channel dedicated to software tutorials and After Effects is my go to app to create intros and outros and other mind blowing animations in my tutorials!
It requires strong specs mainly powerful GPUs which is not afforded by everyone!
The app subscription-based model is expensive IMO, I wish Adobe continues to offer the app as a permanent one-time payment.
Almost 100% of my YouTube tutorials are made by After Effects, the app helps me create incredible animation and zoom effects which in turn gives my videos an advantage over other similar tutorials.
The ability to create just about anything you can think of post production on video, etc.
Slightly expensive but like anything else you get what you pay for.
The ability to add animation/effects to videos, images, etc.
