What do you like best about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

The tools for creating, scanning, editing PDFs from zero to final format conversion, mainly the correction of marks, the eraser and the split page tool. I like the fact of using ABBYY FineReader in more than one device.

What do you dislike about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

Most of the times, the Windows application just failed to export the PDF, specially the recognition OCR, so I had to use the mobile version (my iPad) for finishing my PDF.

The tools for editing and creating PDFs, especially from the scanning. FineReader PDF is the only product in its category that solves PDF, editing and scanning necessities.

"Great PDF tool for OCRing, eSigning and epub creation"

What do you like best about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

I use every day ABBYY FineReader PDF for Windows for electronic signing my proposals to my customers using my own .p12 file while also adding as part of the sign stamp my handwritten signature giving a great look to PDF as also security.

Other feature I use a lot is to convert my favorite PDF ebooks to epub files for sending to my Kindle device. The OCR editor allows me to review in depth the OCR recognition results as also fine tune graphs sections that contains text to leave them as image only so while reading in Kindle it is shown as an image instead of lines of text and part of images.

The FineReader PDF feature for transforming data tables on PDF or scanned documents to Excel is awesome since it's autodetect table structure with minimal or no user intervention.

What do you dislike about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

I would prefer that multiple opened PDF files could be opened as tabs instead on multiple windows. Not big deal now.

Additionally, I would like to have an optional feature to be able to autosave a digitally signed PDF on the same original file without asking it with the file Windows dialog.

Mainly the inclusion of my electronic signature on documents launched from my DMS system.

What do you like best about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

Once the PDF is openned with ABBYY tool, it enable me to do editing.

What do you dislike about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

The APP was not very stable initially till I got used to using it.

It is not very stable at times. It enable editing on translations of files.

"Complete and versatile"

What do you like best about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

The most I like at it, is the possibility to complete the full range of operations when processing and editing a pdf document.

What do you dislike about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

Sometimes, the OCR tool does not have suffient resolution to do a perfect recognition.

What problems is FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac solving and how is that benefiting you?

As I am a translator, FineReader PDF benefits me absolutely, since I can truly translate any document saving its original format and appearance.

I've used FindReader for 15+ years, and have not found a better alternative.

What do you dislike about FineReader PDF for Windows and Mac?

The downside is that i now have to pay. I used to get FineReader free from work :)

The limitations of only being able to convert to PDF. It would be nice if you could convert to tif and other file formats.
