Ease of Use and Flexibility once it is installed. There are a lot of functionality and flexibility in creating dashboards using the scripting window. This allows the product to be very tailored to our department and organizational needs.
Since moving to the cloud most of the features that were a problem on-prem are no longer a problem. Some of the complex filtering is still a challenge with everything being an 'and' and no real way to use 'or'. Additionally, naming conventions for perspectives is a problem which is being worked on by Sisense.
Adoption of BI in our organization but the ease of use for Sisense and the different options allows our users to enjoy excel like function and formulas but the power of BI
Going from nothing to a setup that will give you great looking dashboards and new insights literally takes an hour or two. Their API first approach that let's us use the platform in all kinds of ways and integrate easily.
I miss a few features that would be nice. Versioning of components (like dashboards) for example. I'm not too concerned though. The product is evolving with new features in an impressive way.
Interactive analytics and embedded BI for our existing software. The first one is realized and we're making great progress with the latter one.
Sisense has standard BI dashboard functionality and in addition to connecting to data sources via a live model you can bring the data into sisense and model it there (with a visual model) without requiring a data warehouse. We need both options and so its incredibly helpful. Many tools don't have that option. They also have great customer support. Tickets are answered quickly and the staff are all very helpful. They are an important partner of ours.
I am very happy with Sisense overall and they best fit our needs. One thing I would benefit greatly from would be if we could have dynamic pulse alerts on pivot tables rather than on a single metric/indicator. Some other small features would be helpful such as the ability to impersonate a user (as the admin) and shared dashboard owners.
Sisense serves two main purposes for us. 1) As our front-end BI tool where we have many dashboards in order for different stakeholders to be able to monitor their respective KPIs and 2) as a datawarehouse of sorts where we can model data from different sources together for visualization.
User-friendliness: Sisense generally receives high marks for its intuitive interface and easy-to-use drag-and-drop functionality. Even non-technical users can quickly build basic dashboards and reports.
• Customization: Sisense offers extensive customization options through themes, Javascript, CSS, and HTML, allowing you to tailor the look and feel of your dashboards to your specific brand or needs.

• Visual appeal: Sisense dashboards are known for their visually appealing and interactive nature, which can help increase user engagement and data adoption.
• Flexibility: Sisense can be deployed on-premises, in the cloud, or in a hybrid model, offering flexibility and scalability to suit different organizational needs and budgets.
• AI and ML capabilities: Sisense Fusion incorporates AI and machine learning features, enabling you to analyze data more effectively and generate predictive insights.
• Strong customer support: Sisense receives positive feedback for its responsive and helpful customer support team.
Steep learning curve for advanced features: While the basic interface is easy to grasp, leveraging more advanced functionalities like custom scripting and complex data modeling can require significant technical expertise. This can hinder productivity and limit utilization by less technical users.
Pricing flexibility concerns: Sisense's pricing structure can be complex and, for smaller businesses with limited budgets, it can be perceived as less cost-effective compared to some competitors. The per-user pricing model can quickly add up as team size grows.
Limited data governance: Some users report challenges with managing data access and permissions, particularly in collaborative environments. The platform could benefit from more robust governance features to ensure data security and compliance.
Documentation gaps: While Sisense offers resources and tutorials, some users find the documentation can be inconsistent or lack specifics for certain features, leading to frustration and troubleshooting difficulties.
Performance limitations: Depending on the complexity of your data and dashboard design, performance issues can arise, particularly in on-premises deployments with limited resources.
Lack of some advanced analytics features: Compared to some comprehensive BI platforms, Sisense may lack functionalities in areas like advanced statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining.
Business leaders: Gain clear overviews of business performance, identify trends and opportunities, and make data-driven strategic decisions.
Sales and marketing teams: Analyze customer data, understand buying patterns, personalize campaigns, and improve lead generation.
Finance and operations teams: Monitor financial performance, track expenses, optimize resource allocation, and identify areas for cost reduction.
Data analysts and scientists: Access, explore, and analyze data efficiently, discover hidden patterns, and build predictive models to inform strategic decisions.
Ease of use and learning. Very simple to understand and implement.
Can be more feature rich. Some basic formatting and designing things are not easily achievable.
Ease of implementation.
Allows easy integration with frontend.
API features are cool to use and implement
I love the ease of putting a dashboard together. The widgets drag and drop feature is extremely easy for simple aggregated data. The knowledge base and customer service are a great help as well.
If you are not familiar with JavaScript, it may be a bit difficult to customize the dashboard with the scripts from the knowledge base. Sometimes the help techs are in a different time zone, so response time can be a little slow.
The dashboards are used as an overview of daily data and shows trends.
Sisense is a data analytics powerhouse, offering a lot of features that can handle just about any data-related task you throw at it. From slicing and dicing data to creating beautiful visualizations, Sisense has it all. What sets them apart is their outstanding support team, always ready to assist with any questions or challenges you encounter along the way. With Sisense, you not only get a robust analytics platform but also the peace of mind knowing that help is just a call or message away. It's a winning combination that makes data analysis a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Documentation, Documentation, Documentation.
Anything to do with costs, time constraint tasks and general flow of data in the company
We have been using Sisense for the last 2 yers now and it has transformed the reporting capability within our business. We use it embedded inside our product so our clients can understand their own data.
We also use it internally not only for management reporting, but also to aid our operations team to manage their day to day tasks. Its really simple and intuitive for non-techies to use.
The great thing is the business now own the reporting and not IT
Linking to our existing SQL databases works like a charm and we can have a mixture of cached and live cubes, depending on the frequency of change.
It has great choice of data visualization options availables which look really smart and the filtering and drilldown capabilities are really helpful for users to
gain valuable insight in the data.
Sisense provide great online support and training videos and the account management/support team are really good.
The embbeding into our cloud solution using both Single Sign-on and with our bespoke data security requirements was a challenge but we got there in the end. We are also using the Sisense.JS library
as well to embed individual widgets into our web pages.
I really like the fact that the company is always striving to improve the product with a number of new features added all the time.
Dashboards can sometimes take a long time to load and our environment can occastionally lock up, requiring a restart of the environment on the server
We compared Sisense to other leading BI vendors and choose Sisense as Its really simple and intuitive to use, connects to all our data so we can seamlessly report on this and the company continue to add new features.
Sisense allows us to bring all our data together in one place. It allows allows our business users to support our customers needs on a day to day basis. They "own" the product. They build the reports. No more IT involvement.
Sisense allowed us to transform what was previously a static / historical look back at how customers performed over the last quarter. This is too late to act on anything. Now we have realtime dashboards that the end users can run whenever they want and we have created Pulses to alert people when something important happens.
Internally this has also allowed our business to get a better understanding of the business , both financially and from an operational point of view. We also use this as an operational reporting tool to assist our customer success team to do their job
We are so happy with Sisense, when we recently purchased another company, we have now bought a second Sisense environment and are migrating them away from PowerBI as it is easier to use, and costs a lot less
The tool is very flexible and feature-rich, has connectors for pretty much any digital data source one could imagine, so very easy to integrate to any of your existing data source tools. Their customer support is also outstanding, and even though the tool is pretty straightforward and easy to use, they really do want to make sure that their customers get the most that they can from the tool. Our users here have quickly come to rely upon the reporting capabilities multiple times per day.
There could be some improvments in "picture-perfect" reporting capabilities. All the basic charts and graph types exist, and there is a rich java-script capability that allows a lot of individual control to those charts and graphs (line weights, colors, hiding certain columns of data, etc); but, the java-scripting does require a lot more skill to use than the standard UI controls.
Easy access to data, integration of data from multiple sources, faster and more accurate business decisions.

Pros: Great tool for analyzing bigger datasets. Really nice UI and visualizations look good on most devices as well.
Cons: None so far. We had some minor hiccups at the beginning but the support was phenomenal so now all is good.
