Very, very happy with the lessons & methods of teaching

After completing ther Pimsleur Icelandic course I wanted to keep learning. I stumbled upon the free version of Memrise & am thrilled with the presentation of their lessons in Icelandic. One of the best parts so far is learning to read it. I love the native speakers, the quizzes, the ability to review. I can't tell you how satisfied I am so far. Hoping it maintains this level of satisfaction. Then I may consider the subscription.

What do you like best about Memrise?

Memrise is an amazing app that offers a massive collection of language courses, covering a wide range of languages and other skills which ensuring that every user can find the perfect course for their professional learning needs. They also have quality content from some of the best language experts and native speakers from all over the world that helps small business managers like us to grow.

What do you dislike about Memrise?

Even though our team strive for the best quality standards there are some course creators that use outdated or overly simplistic methods for learning which also hinder the learning experience for users like us. Therefore, we shifted from using multiple language learning apps to a single online learning platform to search for perfect courses according to our language learning needs.

What problems is Memrise solving and how is that benefiting you?

They have a significant range of quality content so it helps learners like us to access courses from premium instructors and connect to a global community that too free of cost. Memrise is a great option for anyone looking to enhance Their language skills just with portable Android, iOS and Windows devices.

What do you like best about Memrise?

I like using memrise on a regular intervals because it really has a vast range of courses that help new users like us to learn better skills and languages through a Mobile application and in a more fun and gamification way also they have a free version of the software that has a lot of content that can be consumed from anywhere and give lot professional knowledge and skills of different subjects

What do you dislike about Memrise?

The main challenge of using memrise for the long term is that it mainly focuses only on vocabulary building and not on clearing the basics of grammatical learning also in the free Version the tests start repeating after a certain point of time which limits the growth of the user learning from it

What problems is Memrise solving and how is that benefiting you?

My overall experience of using memrise in our organisation is that it is a advanced tool for learning educational stuff on a personal level but it is really challenging if you want to expand its usage with your team and organisation for professional skill development and learning and get access to unique languages learning programs.

Creative content for language learning

What do you like best about Memrise?

Memrise is a software that can be easily downloaded from the Play Store and can be easily accessed through mobile phones by anywhere. I have multiple graphics, photos, videos and engaging content. Also it helps us to download the course offline use it when ever we need them.

What do you dislike about Memrise?

The software mainly focuses in the vocabulary practice and digital learning of the users and the app does not focuses on the practise of words that are mainly relevant for the communication needed in the business.

What problems is Memrise solving and how is that benefiting you?

It definitely lacks real-time learning of the language but also at the same time, it provides a medium for the young generation to learn foreign language at the tip of their phones that to basics free of cost. A great initiative by the developers.

Life-time subscription fee returned because of fundamental changes in program

Memrise is going to remove all community-made courses from their program. Unfortunately.
I had bought a life-time subscription for being able to use just these community-made courses offline.

When I explained my situation, they booked back the full amount of my life-time subscription fee I had bought last year.

That is a fair policy, for which I am grateful.

What do you like best about Memrise?

The most attractive part of this software is that it teaches us in the form of interesting stories and engaging pictures so that the detailed content can stick to the brains of us users and we can learn as fast as possible for the long term. Listening to words that they speak along with the videos and photos makes the learning process more impactful and interesting.

What do you dislike about Memrise?

The main problem that I faced while using this software is that it needs a proper internet connection to work and also there are some courses which are not free even I have found some errors during the lessons in between the courses that I was doing. This fee things definitely needs to be looked upon.

What problems is Memrise solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main problem that the software has helped in optimizing in our organization is access to learn because it has a good range of languages that is very necessary for our sales team to learn and understand so that they can make good business relations with all of our customers living abroad.

I fun learning platforms that help users learn foreign language

What do you like best about Memrise?

Memrise helps me mainly to do multiple online short courses just by sitting in my office or at home. This platform has multiple foreign language courses that it offers that to free of cost and in a fun way through video, audio and infographic content. It creates engagement with their audience and gives a good user experience.

What do you dislike about Memrise?

The main challenge that I faced while using Memrise is its inconsistency in providing quality content for all the languages. Some of the courses were great in the beginning but after the second course, the quality content got worse which may be because the creator of those content were not that effective but they were worthless.

What problems is Memrise solving and how is that benefiting you?

We deal with customers and clients all over the world and sometimes it becomes difficult for us and our team to communicate with all of our customers for the business so we need to learn the basics of some of the language so that we can make possible the transactions of information between both the parties.

Learning experience at your device

What do you like best about Memrise?

The platform is unique in terms of giving a learning experience. The fonts and interface are quite interactive and engaging and helped me to learn basic German in just is few months. It asks lots of questions and takes tests in regular progression for tracking results. Memrise also provides small videos so that the user can observe the language and gain soft accent.

What do you dislike about Memrise?

Although it was a good experience working with memrise but I have noticed that they need a proper internet connection so that the software can work smoothly without lagging also still now they have not developed their ios version of the software which is challenging when it comes to scaling with all of the sales team.

What problems is Memrise solving and how is that benefiting you?

The benefit that our company has achieved after using this platform is now it has become quite easy for us to learn foreign languages onourr personal devices by working in any corner of the world. You do not need to visit a language tutor for learning the basics of any foreign language that we user is interested in. This has helped us a lot in communicating with foreign clients.

Five german courses experience

I've been using Memrise for my language journey and must say, it's far superior to Doulingo in my opinion. My favourite feature is learn with natives, it provides an authentic leaning experience. I've completed five German courses. The user-friendly interface and clear progression make my progress easy. The structured courses and spaced repetition ensure knowledge retention.
